Easy to read, seems a solid option
There really isn't much to these types of devices. The primary factors are ease of setup, readability and longevity. This was very easy to set up and the indoor screen is very easy to read so it gets five stars for that. Have to see once on longevity but I put premium lithium batteries in the outdoor part and so far, several months now, everything has been working flawlessly. It's looking like this is a solid device that I would buy again.

Good but not great display contrast.
When our decades old Taylor indoor/outdoor digital thermometer started to fail, I went looking to Taylor for a replacement but could not find anything I thought comparable. I first tried this DOQUAS unit (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B088CSHY7Z) but promptly returned it because the display did not have sufficient contrast to read in normal to subdued room light. I then ordered this Ambient Weather brand unit. The display is higher contrast but still not as easy to read as the old Taylor. I don't understand why a much older display technology can be easier to read the very latest devices. HOW I ASSIGN STARS IN A REVIEW The star ratings are always in relation to the item's intended purpose, type, and durability. 5 stars - The item is perfect with no room for meaningful improvement. The item performs its intended function consistently, and without fail. It also appears to be durable in its manufacture and materials. 4 stars - While not perfect, any imperfections are likely to go unnoticed in normal use. The item should be durable given normal care and handling. 3 stars - The item has significant short comings or limitations, but these do not significantly degrade performance. And/or the item may not be durable if not handled with some degree of care. 2 stars - The item has defects or short comings that compromise performance. And/or the item may be likely to fail prematurely even with careful use. 1 star - The item does not function correctly in any meaningful way or is very difficult or even hazardous to use. And/or the item failed completely with very little use. In any case this unit passed the test of the indoor and outdoor temperature being nearly identical when placed side by side, and it agreed with our old Taylor. The DOQUAS failed both tests, so this "Ambient Weather" brand unit looks like a keeper. If it lasts a more than a decade like the Taylor, we'll be happy.

Reliable, easy to use
This is my second unit; both are now reading from the same remotes. I prefer the older model with slightly larger numerals, but this model is also very good; can easily be read across the room.

Not accurate
This item is what I wanted to like to replace an old Radio Shack model. It is not accurate out of the package. It was 4°F warmer than actual when set next to 2 different branded digital units. (Those were within 1/2°F of each other.) The humidity was also inaccurate. The Thermometer does have a calibration mode and was fine after calibrating the humidity and the temperature, however I could not calibrate the outside sensor. Directions say both are able to be calibrated. Only the main unit allowed me to re-calibrate it. I don't feel I should have to calibrate it anyway. That is the job of the manufacturer.

Easy to setup and use.
First let me say thank you to the manufacturer - I wanted a weather station. Not a calendar, not a clock, just a weather station. This fit my needs great. Large easy to read screen. This is a clean and simple item. I have had it only a few days but it is great. Easy to get setup - just install the batteries in each component and it is up and running. Nothing else to fiddle with. Not cluttered with time, date and or alarm settings.

Temp & Humidity
A good fit for my intended use - temp and humidity. It's legible because the digits are large enough but also because it doesn't confuse with more information than the eye can process with a glance. It sets-up easily and the temperature agrees with other devices when I had it in close proximity. The humidity reading was ±3 integers, not impressive, but good enough and who knows - maybe it is spot-on ant the others are wrong! I have the outdoor sensor at least 70' away from the display and three floors (wood frame) below and the RF reception is fine. I've had it for enough weeks now that it has demonstrated that its "initial quality" (a 'wink' at J.D. Powers reviews) has proven reliable. If you are a 'weather-bug' maybe it won't be enough, but if you get up in the morning and wonder whether to wear a coat or a "T" shirt - this will fill the requirement nicely.

Works as expected :-)
Husband ordered it and it is working as expected. We use it to keep track of the temperature and humidity level in the detached garage. The sensor and the part that tells the readings are about a little less than half a football field from each other and the sensor is inside of a cemented garage. The signal picks up perfectly in our kitchen window which is facing the garage area.

Liked the large display but...
we purchased this October 6, 2016. It displayed large, easy to read numbers and I liked it. Today it just stopped working. If we got a year out of it, I'd question the quality but this did not last 4 months. I searched for quite awhile and not wanting to pay over $100, settled for this one. Big mistake. It's just junk. There are no kids around to mess with it, we had placed the remote under the deck so it was protected from rain.
