I have the 12V model and there are 4 posts to connect wire. There are two pieces of wire for wrapping, do you strip both ends and connect or just one

I can confirm this. I have the 12V model with four terminals. The instructions didn't say. There were two wires and four holes. I thought there were extra holes. But no, now that I have stripped EACH end of each wire and connected all ends to the device, NOW the LEDs are on. They're bright. Can't miss them.

Does this work well for hard water with iron stains?

Don't know about iron stains,but it works good for hard water.

Does this work as well as units costing $100 more?
