Can you use this as just a normal nail polish? Do you have to have a UV light to use this?

It needs a UV light to dry. Otherwise it will stay liquidy and will not dry.

I've been told to stay away from the lights/lamps because you have to "soak" it off. Is that method way more difficult and wudn't it damage my nails?

ALL Gel nail polishes do not easily come off with "nail polish remover". The lamp type or the two step no light required Sally Hansen type.....both are equally difficult to remove. Mine lasted 3 weeks which is a big plus as I swim 3x a week.... but then I wanted to change color so I purchased (Walmart) a bottle of "acetone" GEL polish remover... put it onto cotton ball held it on my finger nail for a minute (YES it takes a while) and then used a nail tool that looked like a spatula to "scrape" off the remaining polish. I ordered on Amazon these pink clippy things that held the cotton ball in place but then you can only do one hand at a time.....more work than regular nail polish, but regular polish does not last 3 weeks.... good luck

Raisin the bar polish shows 2 different colors. Which is correct? Purple or more pinkish brown?

Definitely pinkish brown. I'm 70 years old and quite conservative, but I do like color on my nails. This polish is beautiful, and I get lots of complements on my nails.

Hi, you can use a UV lamp. The LED UV lamp is fasters are faster but a UV lamp will work.
