This was great for mum reading.

At 76, I have difficulty reading newsprint, small print is a nightmare, and looking at fine detail in my hobby workshop is nigh impossible. I had an ordinary round 2X magnifying glass, which was just not up to it, so I decided to invest in this MagniPros. Good decision !! The rectangular lens gives a more natural field of view than a round lens, and the 3X magnification is just right for general purpose (not too little, not too much). But best of all is the LED illumination - I did not realise how much shadows interfered with clear reading until I tried this. The variable illumination is superb, giving exactly the right amount of light you need for any particular task. I would recommend trying this to anyone with reading problems. It is -literally - brilliant!

I've been meaning to get a conventional magnifier for ages. My mobile phone does a perfectly good job but it's not always convenient use it. So I treated myself. Having looked at loads of reviews I decided to get the MagniPros 3x reading magnifier. It arrived very quickly and was just what I hoped for. The illumination is extremely effective although I haven't needed to use it much yet as my living room is well-lit. The Magnifier is well balanced and easy to hold and use. Magnification is ideal for what I want to use it for. I don't know yet how long the batteries will last but that's not a problem for me. Overall I would say that, although not the cheapest on the market, it feels like a good quality piece of kit and does the job perfectly. Personally I would recommend it to anyone! However there is a free offer of another magnifier if a review is written. I wouldn't have taken up the offer if I didn't think the magnifier was worth a good review - but I did. MagniPros sent me details of how to obtain the free gift but it turns out it for US customers only. I made a complaint and they dealt with it promptly as well as indicating that the enclosed offer leaflet hadn't been updated for international sales yet. They were very helpful in response to my complaint, So, overall, a very good item but beware the free offer which may be contained within the box if you're not in the US.

Great, distortion-free optics which, together with the good & even lighting from the built-in LEDs, makes for relaxed reading without getting tired eyes, despite having a macular problem with the eyes. Only downside - minor, so still given 5-stars overall - is the weight when using it for some time whilst reading a book: this despite it being easy to hold. But we've already made good progress on the ergonomics, using suitably placed cushions and the like to take the weight off the wrist/arm. The seller, Mars Trade Mall, acted promptly to "resend" the product after the first parcel arrived empty! Thank you for that good service.

I bought this for myself as I woke one morning a couple of months ago with most of the sight in one eye had decided to go on holiday with a one way ticket🤨. Over the next couple of weeks my other eye decided to go away but just for the weekend so I now have one eye that I can use when I’m asleep and the other is useful for ....... well, we will have to see won’t we.🧐. I had great hopes for this reading aid and in principle is very good but let down by poor quality, it’s one of those creaky plastic things and if you happen to drop it on the carpet the batteries fall out. The variable illumination goes from 1 to 10 and nothing in the middle ( that means Duff switch) . the handle is to short and light making the whole thing lens end heavy, also when you turn it over ( lights facing you) it just doesn’t seem quite finished off as though a piece of trim round the LED’s is missing. 🥴. Apart from that “ a good try”🙂. Or maybe it’s because I can’t see it properly ! ! !

My 92 year old mother suffers with dry macular disease and cannot read anything without this magnifier. So good, I bought her 2 just in case she misplaced one. It's a decent build quality and the rechargeable light is great and lasts well between recharges. Had ordered other models to try out before this, this is definitely the best.

This is a well made item with super clear optics. The rectangular shape enables you to read a whole page without moving position. The LED lights are bright and extremely effective. Overall the best magnifier I've used and I have been through quite a few!

I ordered this magnifier not really knowing what to expect. Well I was not disappointed, this makes reading a lot easier. The light is nice & bright, but I can't say how long the batteries will last yet as it has only just arrived. The unit is not overly heavy & the magnification good as well. It also has a fairly large area of magnification that makes reading much easier. So much so I have ordered a 2nd one. The only downside in my opinion is that the handle does not fold into the unit making it smaller to fit into a pocket or bag etc. Having said that, on reflection, having a joint would possibly be a fragile area. It would also be very nice if it came complete with batteries. So if you do get one, ensure you order or get batteries as well.

We bought this for my ageing father-in-law who suffers from molecular degeneration and has done for years. He is now 84 and finding it increasingly difficult to see anything printed. Since buying this for him he has been able to make out so much more from printed pictures. This has been particularly good as he can now see his late wife's photo again, something he has been upset about not being able to see but hadn't told us until he used this little gizmo. One very happy elderly gentleman so thank you

Best magnifier I have EVER bought. The lens is as clear as glass and non-glare . It's not heavy. It has just the right lighting for me (the middle one) and it covers enough of the page. I bought this again so I can keep one at home and one in the car. It is my go-to. I have recommended this to other seniors in my language class. (We study Biblical Hebrew where every tiny dot or mark is significant). I hope that some day Magnipros will make one that recharges electrically. Meanwhile I use 3 AAA batteries (rechargable) and they last a good long while...as long as I don't forget the light on. Just love this one. Very comfortable to hold in my arthritic hands. Much better quality than even similarly-priced magnifiers. Seems very durable.
