What is the diameter of the hook portion of the pull? I need to make sure it fits the hole on my zipper.

The size of the hook is 8.5*6.5mm, and the diameter of the hook is 1.9mm. If the hole on the zipper head is less than 2mm in diameter, or the width of the part with the hole on the zipper head is greater than 3.5mm, this zipper replacement is not applicable.

Can I use these pull tabs on a sweatshirt that goes through the washer and dryer?

I’m not sure, because I used mine on luggage. But since they clip on easily, I would think you could just unclip it when you wash and dry your item. They are sturdy pulls - and I wouldn’t have a problem throwing it in washer/dryer
