Petersham vs grosgrain - another misnomer
I've been searching for petersham ribbon. It is not helpful to list grosgrain as petersham. It is quite different. A 100% polyester grosgrain ribbed ribbon will not form or stretch as needed to band a hat. Petersham by its nature cannot be 100% polyester; it's a blend or 100% rayon or something that stretches.The edge of the ribbon shown is bound, whereas petersham rib is continuous at the edges and turns back and forth. It is not bound.
