2 outta 3 ain't bad!
I am almost 60 and just started baking my own pizza and making my own sourdough pizza dough. I have been baking the pizza 8n a normal electric oven using a 12 inch Lodge cast iron skillet. The skillet does a wonderful job. The crust comes out nicely browned on the top and bottom. I received my stone, peel and cutter today. They were packaged very well and the stone was in pristine condition, as were the peel and cutter. I started by lightly oiling the stone with olive oil and baking it at 350 for an hour. Once that was done and the pores were open, I brushed on a layer of grapeseed oil and let it cook with the fan on at 400 degrees for another hour. IT DID SMOKE...But the oven fan took care of it easily. I let it cool and put it away. I plan to try it out in the oven first next weekend, then may take it out to the grille...or not...my grille isn't the greatest! My impression of the stone is this; It is a quality made stone that will do what I ask of it. It pre-heats quickly, but not at the expense of durability in the thickness of the stone. Use it with cornmeal to help with sticking until it is fully seasoned. My impression of the peel is this; It is also made of quality materials and well engineered and suited to the task it is made for. I expect that it will last a long time, and things that may go wrong after awhile, I can probably fix. I love the way it folds to fit in a smaller space. Well done! My impression of the cutting wheel is this; Cuisinart makes a very good pizza cutter, as does KitchenAid. They are quality and well priced. THIS wheel cutter for pizza would Never make it through a well baked sourdough crust without bending the attachment of the handle to the wheel. It is a cheap add-on, and if Cuisnart left it out and kept the price the same, I would still have been happy with my purchase. I will find a way to re-purpose the cutter, or toss it.

Amazing set + great value
I almost didn’t purchase this set because of some of the negative reviews, but I’m very glad I ignored them and ordered this anyhow. The items in this set were absolutely perfect for making homemade pizzas. The pizza stone was a completely reasonable size, and was sturdy and had no chemical smell whatsoever (I smelled it both immediately after taking it after the package and once it had heated up at 500 F on the grill). We used our Traeger grill to make the pizzas and the stone fit perfectly inside. The pizza peel was sturdy and did not unexpectedly fold at any point during the pizza making process. What we did was cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the pizza peel, then form the dough and make the pizza on top of the pre-cut parchment paper. We had no problems getting the cooked and uncooked pizzas back and forth between the kitchen and the grill using this pizza peel. The transfer of the pizza between the peel and stone was seamless because of the parchment paper, and the paper peeled easily off the bottom of the pizza once it had been cooked. The dough we used was homemade Neapolitan-style, which is a wet and sticky delicate dough, and using the parchment paper we did not have issues with the dough sticking to any surface at any point. The pizza cutter was a little bit smaller than I had expected, but it was sharp and did a great job slicing through the puffy crust and crispy bottom on the first pass. I guess I feel defensive about this set because I started to regret purchasing it after reading through the negative reviews, but once it arrived and I used the items in the set, I ended up being very happy with my purchase, and it’s a fantastic value for the price. I’m definitely looking forward to my family’s next pizza night because this set makes cooking, transporting, and slicing the homemade pizzas a breeze. Highly recommend!

I wish the stone and peel were a little larger
This pizza grilling set is a great deal, but it's not perfect. The pizza stone is the best, it gets super hot and gives your pizzas a perfectly crispy crust, just like a professional oven. The pizza cutter is also excellent; it's sharp and slices relatively easily. The pizza peel is cool and folds for storage, but it feels a little flimsy. I also wish the peel and the stone were a bit bigger, just a few inches, as it's hard to make a decent-sized pizza without it hanging off the edges. Overall, it's a good set for the price, and for home use. It's a huge step up from making pizza on a regular pan, but be aware of the small size and the slightly wobbly peel.

A good set for personal pizza making.
I like this set. The pizza peel is of good size for a personal pizza and folds. It is pretty well made a durable. The stone works well and equally of good quality. We have two. One to prepare the next pizza and the other used to remove the pizza that has finished in our outdoor pizza oven. Makes for quick prep of pizza for our family. Both peels stored inside our outdoor oven folded ready for our next pizza dinner. If there is a slight negative of the set it is the pizza cutter. Doesn't have the same feel of quality as the peel and stone.

First pizza I ever made!
This kit is not bad at all! I considered getting a thicker stone and more expensive, but I saw this and I'm such a tyro, so I thought let's start small. And this did an excellent job — surpassed my expectations. I preheated it at 500°F from a cold oven for 45 minutes. Used pre-made dough from Trader Joe's which I think I'm going to do my own dough from here on because it's not glutinous enough. I don't mind using pre-made pizza sauce and pepperoni and all that, but the dough is important. I have an electric oven and I put the stone on the second tray rung from the bottom element. Didn't need to broil it or anything. It just cooked up really nice. Nine minutes. There was no smell from the stone even when I baked it for an hour at 400° like they recommended. There is some staining but it doesn't look like it's going to be hard to remove any residue.

Stone is fine, peel and cutter are junk
This stone works like any other stone but the peel is a joke, just garbage. The handle flops around and it just makes the peel completely unresponsive for sliding a pie off of. Sometimes the handle folds mid slide under a pie....prepare to clean a mess. Also, metal never works as well as a wood peel would anyway. I'd only use this for removing or turning pies.

NOT cheap or flimsy...
Received this item today and I was ready for it.... The stone is a stone. A stone is a stone is a stone. This one is a very I inexpensive one and if you treat it as any another you will appreciate it for years. First off, it is packaged very well. Lots of protection foam and cardboard with a plastic wrapping in a box within a box with more packaging protection. The PEEL is very well made, not flimsy or cheap. It feels very durable and folds nicely for storage purposes. The pizza slicer is a great bonus. NOT cheap or flimsy either. It's as good as it could get. The stone is attractive and made for a home use by amateur cooks and good enough for professional quality food. If seasoning with oil, DO NOT OVER OIL. Really, no oil needed. It's to be seasoned slowly over time kinda like a cast iron skillet. If you over season you will be burning the oil off in clouds of smoke so easy does it. Over all, great product and I recommend this for anyone wanting to buy a stone hut had no previous experience with one. For the price you can't go wrong

Great set of tools! Watch out for moisture.
This elevated our homemade pizza tenfold. Not quite the level you'd get with a 1000 degree pizza oven, but getting close. Some tips for the stone: - Make sure you preheat the stone in the oven for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour at the hottest temperature your oven will go. Don't put the pizza on it then put it into the oven. - Do NOT use water or detergent on the stone when you clean it. It is porous stone, and will absorb anything you put on it. - If anything drips or gets on the stone while cooking, it's probably going to stain forever. The easiest way to clean it, outside of scrubbing with baking soda, is to leave it in your oven during a cleaning cycle. Whatever is left will be powderized. A tip for the peel - make sure you use cornmeal or flower on it first before putting dough on. Make sure your dough is not wet. Only do this when you're ready to put the pizza in the oven, because given enough time, the dough WILL stick to the peel. Take as little time as possible putting the dough on, then sauce/cheese/toppings. Move the dough around the peel every 30 seconds to make sure it's not stuck.
