Great option despite the nitpicks...
[CAPACITY] As far as two-wheeled travel bags go, this thing is massive! It has plenty of space to carry a full trip's worth of clothes for two adults, and two toddlers (diaper capacity was not included in the equation, my apologies). In fact it was so massive, that we packed another rolling backpack that we purchased for one of our children inside of it to reduce our bag count when boarding our airline. However, please keep in mind that with bags this large, it would be very easy to exceed wight allotments if you fill it up to the brim. [DURABILITY] Full disclosure: we have only taken this bag on one trip at the time of this review, but it held up to the beating it got from the airline, coach bus bag loaders, and my littles who will climb on - and jump off of ANYTHING that can be used as a semi-stable elevated platform. It does not have an internal metal frame; but what it loses in rigidity, it makes up for by having one less failure point. [USABILITY] Man...I really don't want to give this thing a hit, but I can't let one thing go. This bag does not have carry handles on both sides, or the top of the bag. This means you can only lift/carry it in one practical orientation. The wheels are smooth, and the handle is very sturdy - but could have been an inch longer. I am not the tallest person in the world, but I find myself kicking the bad far more often than I do with another comparable bag. Additionally, while I get the idea behind the sinch straps, the execution is...questionable. I don't think they are all that functional as is, but hey, you could probably use them to sinch down a tarp and blanket. Finally, there are some pockets internal to the bag, but I would probably keep those limited to lighter and flatter items to avoid accelerated or excessive wear to the mesh. [BOTTOM LINE] If you just need space for stuff to drag through the airport, this does a really good job at doing that. There is some room for improvement, but a very good and functional bag overall. DO I recommend it? Yes. I do.

An Extremely Durable Roller Duffle!!
I ordered this roller duffle for my most recent trip to Grand Teton National Park (Jan 2026). I'm a landscape photographer & take at least one extended trip (2-3 weeks) each year during snow season. Due to all of the gear necessary, I check two bags for my flight (one for my clothes & one for my gear). In the past, I always shipped my custom snow shoes via UPS to the trip destination ahead of time. However, due to the ever rising shipping costs, I decided this past trip to pack this item along with my boots, tripod, etc. in my gear bag. The only problem this time was my old gear bag wasn't big enough. So, I started searching through Amazon which was very frustrating.., until I found this Gonex Rolling Duffle Bag. Unlike all of the other big bags, this one seemed to be exactly the right size with all of the features I wanted (rugged construction, recessible handle, large wheels, expandable, water-repellent, etc., etc. When it arrived, I was very impressed. Then, after doing a test packing of my gear in it, I was elated! Finally, after I took it on my trip a few weeks ago, I was so happy of the experience that I'm ordering a second Gonex duffle to replace y clothes bad for my next trip!

Lots of Room
This bag holds a lot of luggage items, it is compact and rolls easily. For this size I am not sure how the bag manages to pack more than other bags of the same size. It has multiple zipper pockets that are arranged in a way to store more. CONS: There is only one handle opposite the wheeled side and it is not always easy to carry a full bag. There should be a handle or strap length wise to make handling the bag easier. The seams have worked so far for airport travel, but seams are not double stitched so not sure how long or how much stress this bag can take. I will be very disappointed This is a great bag for when you need more than a weekender.

Initial Impression - 5 stars especially at the price point
I started looking for a replacement duffel for my trusty Ful 30" rolling duffel that I bought years ago at Costco, after seeing one at the airport which had an anti tip feature. That was the one thing that always annoyed me, the tip over if the duffel wasn't stuffed to the brim. As I surveyed the market, willing to spend hundreds on a new duffel, I discovered that the new duffels are all wider at 16" than my Ful at 14". And the Ful duffel is already arguably a little bigger than I need. So these new 30" (and bigger) duffels are just too big. It's already been an issue getting luggage in the back of small rental cars, so the last thing I need is something bigger. It's hard to find 26" ish duffels, so the options were limited. But Gonex had one, the reviews were pretty good. And most importantly, they have a moveable bar that creates the anti tip feature I wanted. When it arrived, it looked small to me, and it isn't as deep as my old duffel, so even though the "floor space" is the same at 16"x25" as my old duffel at 14"x30", the capacity is technically a little lower. But I did a test packing of the bag and it's really close to what I used to be able to pack. And it has the anti tip feature, compression straps for when it isn't fully packed, and very nice big wheels. Plus the wider and shorter profile is more stable. So it seems perfect, and at about $100 the value is outstanding, so I give it 5 stars. I'd gladly pay another $150 for an upgraded all plastic tray with the same size and design, but no one seems to make such a duffel, and the test packing shows it fills up very nicely without "poofing out" the side panels. I'll update the review after some more use and experience fitting into the back of a small rental car. But for the moment this looks to be close to perfect for my needs, and at a super attractive price. I think I will really enjoy the revised luggage experience.

Problem If You Are Petite
This suitcase is fantastic, great space and separated zipper areas. It survived a 3 week many destination trip with me and still looks brand new (10 plane rides, trains across Europe, stairs, weather etc). It is large and easy to pack over a 50lb domestic limit so take care. Rating 5 stars because this isn't the bag's fault but if you're shorter in stature, I'm 5'1", this bag will stand up to roughly your waist (handle extends to my shoulder). It is manageable when pulling it but certain tasks are an effort. DO NOT have it ride behind you on a down escalator when full...You're probably more clever than that anyway!

I think it was a good purchase. It would be worth having for somebody who does a lot of traveling.
I’ve used this on many trips. Airport people look at me like that is not gonna fit under the seat, but it always does. It’s nice because it rolls. You don’t have to carry it on your shoulder. It does what it was designed to do.

Punctures easily, random straps that hang.
It’s a nice and sturdy piece of luggage but didn’t quite hold up to baggage claim. Loads of holes the second time traveled with. Still don’t quite understand the outside clips that seem to hang and get stuck on stuff.

Sturdy and perfect
Light weight. Plenty of room. A little slim lined which is great.

Bonne conception

Good size, lightweight weekender with good features.
Good size for a weekend or carry on bag. Well made with several good features. Lacks a handle in the middle. Good interior space, several useful pockets, good wheels. Collapses to a slightly smaller size when empty.

Gonex 50L wasserdichter Trolley Ein
