How long can you leave these in water and will they shrink if left in water over 10 hours?

They don't shrink when left in water until the water begins to evaporate. So however long it'll take the container of water to evaporate is how long it will take them to shrink. Those at the top in the container will shrink first because that would be the water to evaporate first.

Can I use these to make the illusion of floating balls? Or will they just look like beads? Do they "disappear" ?

They don’t float and they look like clear beads

How many vases will one pack fill?

THATS A GREAT QUESTION. I USED SUCH A SMALL AMOUNT FOR TWO MED SIZE ROSE VASES. AND I HAVE TONS LEFT OVER.

Can you use them for slingshot ammo?

Hmmm you probably could. They wouldn’t do much more than splat. They are basically like marble size balls of jelly once you soak them in water. When dry they are a smaller than bb’s
