Is this worth the extra $55 over the vestil cpro-800lp ergonomic worker seat/chair? https://www.amazon.com/dp/b0052pjfcw/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pc_ns_ttl?_enc

Whether it's worth the extra cost, I can't really say. All I know is that it is really comfortable and easily adjustable while viewing.

Can this chair be used indoors in an apartment for star gazing?

Yes it may be used indoors or outdoors. It's a folding chair that is height adjustable and sturdy.

Can this chair be used indoors in an apartment?

I could say yes, but this chair was never meant for general sitting. The intent was to provide some relief to astronomers using their equipment. It will never be as stable as a chair made for the household. There are many better alternatives, in my opinion.

How wide is the seat?

Seat is very wide and comfortable. Very nice that it's adjustable.
