Waterproofs concrete to protect against water, efflorescence, spalling, salts, and freeze-thaw. Spectacular semi-translucent variegated look, similar to acid staining but many more colors. Penetrates deep into concrete (2”-4”), strengthens and waterproofs. It’s like filling the pores with epoxy! Limited 15-year Waterproofing Warranty. No film, not shiny or slippery. New concrete is too caustic - the pH must be below 9 but above 6. We recommend the safe approach – always ACID-ETCH OR SAND the concrete first. After etching, neutralize the surface with baking soda, ammonia, or an alkaline cleaner. Test the stain first in an inconspicuous area, let it cure for three days and try to rub it off with a wet rag – the stain should not come off. Do not over-apply! One application in a thin glistening film is usually enough. A light second application can be applied later, provided it absorbs. Why would you even try this stuff? *by G***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2019* Garbage. I pressure washed my patio before putting on the stain. Waited a week in the sun prior to application. After application, it appeared sealed and looked good. A week later it rained, and it started foaming up and peeling off. The seal washed right off. Every time it rains it still foams up and almost all of the stain is gone. I contacted the manufacturer, they did not have a resolution for me. I was going to try again but I'm going to send this stuff back and try something else. Waste of money.Even worse - asked for a refund and had to pay for shipping. $102!!! The only good thing about this product was that it washed right off with a pressure washer. It probably would have come of with just a week of rain. Sidewalk chalk has better adherence than this stuff.This was a total waste of $500. No signs of concrete ever being sealed.The stain looked promising when applied, then faded a lot as it dried. Ended up needing double the expected product. To get desired color, it would have taken 10 gallons on 1500 square feet.After days of drying the stain was able to be scuffed with a shoe.
