An Eyelash curler that is safe and easy to use--and works as it should!
This is my first time to use a "heated" electronic battery-operated eyelash curler, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and effective it was at curling my eyelashes. At first I was a little nervous because I was afraid it might burn my lashes or even my eyelid, but the heat is not at all that hot. It was a little warm but not hot enough to burn you. It definitely worked at curling my lashes quickly and there was no need to turn and squeeze my lashes like what I used to do with a regular eyelash curler. Together with mascara, the effect was even more noticeable with this heated eyelash curler. I had longer curled lashes as a result! You can even carry this around with you because it's as small in length as a mascara. I like the fact that it uses only one AA alkaline battery, so there's no need to have to recharge it to a charger (which I don't like doing because I would need to get a charger and an outlet). Using one size AA alkaline battery is just more convenient. I highly recommend it.

Very Difficult; Too Complicated
I love the look of curly eyelashes--it makes my eyes look super-big and glam, like I'm wearing false lashes, plus it gives my face an instant lift. My previous method for curling my lashes was to simply hit my metal eyelash curler Shiseido The Makeup Eyelash Curler with a shot of hot air from my hair dryer and that did the trick. However, it's not always convenient to carry around a hair dryer just to heat your metal eyelash curler. With my busy schedule, sometimes I'm forced to apply my make-up wherever I can, which turns out is not always in front my vanity or in my bathroom next to my hair dryer, or even near an electrical outlet. So, I was so psyched to find out they made electric eyelash curlers!!! What a neat invention, I thought. My first electric eyelash curler was much like this one: Talika Heated Eyelash Curler 1 ea . However, the brand I had didn't really get hot enough for a strong, long lasting curl. Plus, the casing of the curler was rather shabby, and finally it just went dead (at a rather inopportune time might I add, while I was at a resort and couldn't buy another one and of course had left my old manual one behind--ugh!). After that horrid disappointment, having suffered an entire romantic holiday sans curled lashes due to an electric eyelash curler I couldn't depend on, I went back to using the hairdryer-on-metal method. I figured at least it couldn't break on me at the worst time possible. But in my heart I often wondered...was there a good electric eyelash curler out there? Then I saw this heated eyelash curler, and I thought maybe they had improved the tool. Furthermore, I read some reviews that the curler got really hot, which I thought would overcome one of the problems of my previous curler. However, I was sorely disappointed with this curler. It is shaped exactly like a mascara wand. Yes, it gets hot, but the whole concept is messed up. You have to manually sit there and push on your lash line, and then you have to keep going over the lash to warm it up enough to make it pliable, and then you have to keep holding it down, holding it down, holding it down....oh Lord have mercy it's all just too much trouble. And the curl really doesn't lock in, because the curler provides no tension or crimping, and you really need the tension of the two hot metal surfaces squeezing the eyelash. The concept is just off and faulty. I kept the product because I really didn't have time to fool with sending it back and all that. So it just sits in my make-up drawer because I hate to throw something away that I spent money on. I figure maybe I'll find a use for it one day, like to heat up some tiny object that is I don't know what. And in case you are wondering, yeah, I'm back to the hairdryer-on-metal curler method again, IF I'm fortunate enough to be by an outlet. If not, I go without curled lashes (ain't it a shame). I saw Panasonic makes a more traditional-type electric lash curler, like the first one I had Panasonic EH2331P Heated Eyelash Curler . I might try it again, but I'll admit I'm a bit gun shy, having been burnt (no pun intended) in the past. So I ask the cosmetics universe: Can anyone out there make a decent, effective, and dependable heated eyelash curler?

Love the lift.
I have to update my review - Received and started using this December 5, 2015 - It stopped working February 5, 2016. I really loved the lift my eyelashes got from this, but it needs to last longer than 2 months for me to give a true recommendation. I may have just gotten a lemon but I was not rough nor did I drop this product. Couldn't come up with a reason for it to die. I will be trying another brand and will post a review on that one! I was skeptical of this product. But I have to admit that I really love it. It does a very nice job of giving my lashes a little extra lift - it is not like a mechanical curler at all. So if you want the bent lash look, this probably isn't for you. I use mine with mascara, I'm not sure how it would work on bare lashes - but then I don't leave the house w/o mascara. I have also found love for it when I end up with a goopy lash - it totally fixes it and I am able to apply more mascara over it - no glob on the lash!!! And even better - it does not mess up my eyeliner. I takes a couple of extra minutes in the morning - but worth it. I've tried it with several different mascara's and some do work better than others - you just have to find your favorite combination. I've seen other heated curlers at a higher price point, but I feel like got a good deal with this product. I would recommend this product to someone who is looking for a little more glamor.

At first it's confusing
I was excited when I received this heated eyelash curler so hopefully it wouldn't do that much damage to my eyelashes than a regular eyelash curler. At first I tried it out I got really fustrated since the curler took a while to heat up. There's an indicator strip on the other side of the curler, so when it turns pink, its fully heated up. At first it took 10 minutes for the heater to heat up and I just figured the curler was busted. Then I replaced the battery and found out it wasn't the curler that wasn't working but the cheap battery it came with. Now it heats up in less than a minute. You don't even need the curler to heat up all the way for you to start using it. What I also like about it is that you use it after you applied your mascara. It takes about a minute to properly curl each eyelash so it doesn't take that much time. It gives a natural curl to your eyelashes and last, for me, for about 5 hours until it starting falling down which is still better than a regular curler. Also it has a nice comb connected to the curler to separates your lashes. Overall it was confusing at first but I really like this product now, just remember to use a good battery.

Bad reviews are mostly user error!
I've been using this eyelash curler for almost 3 years now and I love it. I truly feel most of the bad reviews are user error. I've tried every type of heated eyelash curler out there and this one rocks my socks. Here's some helpful hints: 1) The first time you put a battery in it's HOT. Use caution for the first few times. Sometimes I have to turn it off and let it cool a little before I can continue. 2) Yes there is a power button sliding thingy. It's silver and in the middle of the device. You don't just put a battery in and it works. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard because then you would have to take the battery out again to turn it off. Yes, It takes a minute to heat up. On the back of the tip is a blueish-purple dot that turns pink when it's ready. Turn it on at some point during your beauty routine (before you actually need it). I turn it on after I get my foundation on but before I apply color. 3) You can't just hold it to your eyelash and it magically curls. For the best results I start at the base of the lash pressing upwards and hold for a second or two, then move slowly to the end of the lash and press back towards toward the eyelid to force the eyelash into a crescent or "c" shape. Moving back and forth across the eye to include all of the lashes. To keep the tip from clogging up I apply mascara after. For a more dramatic lash I apply a thin coat of mascara then curl while it's wet, then a second coat. Just remember to clean it. 4) There's no Wall-E robot that will come and scrub your tip. Here's how I keep it clean. The tip of the eyelash curler has a eyelash separator and underneath are the heating elements. The eyelash separator slides off the end of the eyelash curler for easy access. Use the brush that was included in your package to clean out the eyelash separator using your make up remover. Clean the heating element with the same DRY brush. If this area gets clogged your eyelashes will no longer be able to reach the heated coils and the curler will no longer be effective. 5) Always replace the cap when you are done. The cap turns off the eyelash curler when you slide it on, and keeps the eyelash separator from sliding off the end in your makeup bag. Otherwise you'll be searching for a new battery the next time you go to use it. When used consistently, like with any battery operated device, you'll have to replace them. Especially devices with a heat element as they use more power. Keep extra in your makeup bag. 6) I use up my eyelash curlers at least every 6 months. I've dropped one and the cap broke, another got smashed in my checked baggage, I lent one out and never saw again...etc. I never had one that didn't work. Plan on replacing it or having a backup on hand for when you have an accident. I will order this product again and again. I will never go back to the skin pinching, eyelash crimping mid evil torture device.

Broke after 6 weeks
Worked great until it didn’t. Stopped working after 6 weeks and it wasn’t the battery.

This thing gets HOT! Burned eyelids? ✅️
Okay - I thoroughly read through the reviews. There are numerous negative ones, and several positive. I figured the negative were probably from impatient individuals or from those who didn't read the instructions. I will start by saying I am not impatient and I read the instructions before I began. I inserted a brand new AA battery, as instructed, slid the switch to on. I waited for the indicator light to turn red (kinda like the old hair roller indicator.) Pierce it turned red. I put that puppy up to my eyelashes and it was HOT. Not warm, H.O.T. It may be warm if you were curling your arm hair..but this is my eye region. A tender, sensitive area? Um, yeah! I tried, I really did, numerous ways, to curl my lashes and not scorch my eyelid. I even tried both eyes thinking maybe I was holding the curler wrong. As I sit here typing this review, after submitting for a return, both my eyes are so sore. They have been burned. I am bummed. First, because I really was excited to try this and have a new way to curl my lashes, and second, because my eyelids hurt now!! I am not a whimp, and not a complainer, but HOW is it that no one has commented on how hot this this gets!?
