on dewalt's site it says this model is 3800rpm on here it says 3500rpm is this an older model?

On the saw that I bought 2 months ago, it says 3800 rpm on the motor casing.

Is the only difference between the DW716 and DW716 with XPS, the LED?

Dewalt 716 Type 20 will accept a light. You'll spend 75 on a handle, power supply, and led. MM Tool parts has the kit. The light is worth it.

Does anyone know a dewalt vacuum dust port adapter that would work with this dewalt dw716xps miter saw? thanks

Can you put a metal cutting blade on it to cut steel tubing?

Good question and I don't see any reason why not depending on the thickness of the tubing. I have a Dewalt chop saw I used to cut aluminum studs when I was refinishing my basement and it cut just fine with a metal cutting blade. It was a 10" vs 12" saw however. Motors and Amp rating was the same as my DW 716 Mite Saw. May want to ping someone at DeWalt or search thier web site. May not be the right thing to do but you could ask someone at one of the Big Box Home Improvement stores as well.
