I purchased this product and received it yesterday. There is no production date that I can see anywhere on the container. Why not?

On the tubs it is located on the upper beveled edge right above the label, on the bags there is a small stamp a few inches to the left of the barcode on the back. The expiration date stamp also contains the lot number which is a requirement of the FDA. It is possible that Amazon placed their barcode sticker over top of the expiration date stamp, and in rare cases it could be rubbed off of the plastic tub, but there would be obvious signs of friction. Cookies & Cream was just reintroduced with an improved flavor, so any units of it will not be set to expire until 2023.

Does this taste better than quest protein?

I find the Quest powders to be way too sweet. This protein is much better in my opinion.

Is the chocolate cupcake milk chocolate or not?

PEScience makes a Chocolate Truffle, and a Chocolate Cupcake. Unfortunatley PES doesn't offer any further descriptions on the flavor panels on their website or labels. All this Proteins taste incredible!
