Works great for MANY things!
Up above I asked before buying: "Can this be used to make rosewater lemonade?" No one knew, apparently, but I took the plunge anyway-- and the answer is an emphatic "YES!". This rosewater is absolutely edible, and adding it to lemonade gives you a delightful Middle Eastern/Indian-style beverage (I think I first discovered this flavor at a "Persian" food stall or restaurant). You don't need to add much to your lemonade-- err on the side of caution, then slowly add more for a stronger taste. (Note: the rose-smell is a lot stronger in your drink than the actual TASTE once combined; you still don't have to use a lot of rosewater, but if you find it's too cloying for your palate, just add more lemonade.) Other wonderful uses: This stuff works AMAZINGLY as a face-mist/hydrating toner with a few other ingredients. In a two-ounce spray bottle, add about enough rosewater to cover the bottom up to about an inch. Then add distilled/spring water (not tap, eww) so it's not QUITE full (about half an inch+ space remaining). Then add: 4 drops of REAL (not synthetic!) lavender essential oil, and 3 drops (REAL!) clary sage essential oil. Shake vigorously, then spray it right on your (dry or mostly-dry) face after washing/exfoliating/using astringent. The smell is beautiful-- not at all over-strong, but so uplifting and refreshing. The scent dissipates pretty quickly, so don't use it as perfume-- but for someone who can't stand lingering fragrance, this is perfect (I'd even tell masculine-type folks to use it-- I promise, you won't smell like flowers for the rest of the day.). Using it after the tea tree oil astringent I've made, I'm noticing definite improvements in my skin/complexion. In short: Great buy, great quality. The bottle has some silly spiritualist stuff printed on the label ("Vor-mag water that has been vortexed and magnetized to raise its energy to a higher vibration!" "Recommended in the Edgar Cayce Readings!"), but if that's not what floats your boat, it still works perfectly well for mundane use. (If that IS what floats your boat, then, uh... Enjoy your higher-vibration magnet-rosewater, I guess?)

Research difference of floral water /hydrosol
This is specifically for Heritage Rose Water. I decided to write a review here after coming across some unintentional inaccurate information regarding rose HYDROSOL. The review that pops up complaining about not being "real" rose water. It Is not rose hydrosol and never claims to be. I will first tell you how much I adore heritage ROSE WATER - purified water with Rose Essential oil added -no artificials- so although this is not literally from the distillation of roses, it is still wonderful. I appreciate that Heritage does not mislead by labeling with words like "distilled" , unlike SOME brands do. When some brands have the word distilled etc on the label, when in fact it is referring to the rose oil that was added to the water was distilled from "origin XYZ" roses. So many "rose water" products can be mistaken for literally hydrosols. Anyway, now to Heritage rosewater it'sself : I have purchased many bottles of it over a span of two years now. I first tried a bottle from an organic style store. I. Loved. It. It's the ony 'liquid' including water, that doesn't sting my face when I have a rash or irritation on my skin -sensitive skin. Sometimes plain water will sting, but when I sprayed this on instead and took note that it was so so gentle- it became a staple for me. I now just get a bottle from Amazon whenever I can/need more. I don't really label it as a "toner" , I call it a "refresher and moisture that cannot clog pores" type of spritz. I use micellar water as a toner quite often. I spritz rosewater on my face and or body when I feel heated , it's like a comfortable "splash of water " for me to help me wake up in the mornings. I literally will just use it any time i feel like it ... so although it is labeled as a toner, it totally can be for more sensitive skin, but keep in mind it's literally highly purified water and true rose oil - so why would it be able to grab up the leftover makeup dirt and grime ? I also spritz it before and after face masks. One thing I will mention about the moisture aspect - I also have acne prone skin so I literally have to utilize a moisturizing cleansing routine instead of applying actual oil or lotion or "moisturizer"... So when I spray this, It can add a bit of moisture but in no way something that would could clog a pore since it's aqueous with no random additives. Now, I also will say I have never tried rose HYDROSOL. I would LOVE to soon!! Rose HYDROSOL is the actual water left over where one has distilled the petals for making essential oil of rose. I think the hydrosols are not shelf stable. So I do like the ability to keep my rosewater in my purse or whereever I go. Heritage rose water is a wonderful floral water, has zero artificial flavor or fragrance, & is edible literally. It is also extremely gentle on irritations, even more so than tap water.. it is not going to clog your pores, and the majority of its uses are going to vary with each and every one. The aroma -which is from nothing more but the rose essential oil drops added to the purified water- is a nice rose scent that is the opposite of 'cloying' ... it does not linger, and i love the smell but it doesn't hang around for long so I don't specifically use for aroma only. The rose oil itself is believed to have many skin healing abilities and yes there is a noticeable difference with using this vs spray bottle full of water.

Nice product
I believe it's one of the best rosewaters on the market - I took a star because of shipping. I use it as an astringent. However, this company must re-think their packaging skills. It came sealed but saturated, so, it leaked a little. It did have a plastic covering seal too that blocked it from leaking a lot. I lost a small percentage approximately 2-3%, but will keep.

Fresh and fragrant!
In my pursuit to find an affordable facial toner that I actually like, and to use more natural, sensitive-skin-friendly products, I stumbled across a few recommendations online for rose water. This discovery was particularly exciting for me as I have a strange (if not mildly freakish) affinity for rose-scented things. So whether or not this worked out for me as a toner, I would find it worth the $8 for something wonderfully rose. I ordered the 8oz bottle. Delivery was fast with the product in perfect condition. I hold all rose-scented things to a certain standard: the smell must be comparable to Crabtree and Evelyn's Rosewater products. Though it's not *perfect* like Crabtree, it is indeed delightfully rose. As a toner, it works. It lightly cleanses, freshens, and clarifies dry, sensitive skin. My face is not left feeling parched, just clean and ready for moisturizer. It works during makeup application by helping to smooth and blend foundation and concealer. I don't wear much makeup, but when I do, this product easily and seamlessly erases any trace of the dreaded "orange line" without smudging or wiping the makeup off. It just helps to blend. It's also effective for cleaning up tiny eyeliner and mascara errors. I've also used this in my hair with great results. I have quite curly hair, so I often wake up with the Medusa look and need to spritz my tresses to detangle and refresh my curls. I filled a small spray bottle with water, half rose and half tap. Now when I touch up my curls, I have the added benefit of that light, soft flower scent. How refreshing! Will buy again for sure.

Holy grail natural toner!!!! Must have in your collection!
I first stumbled upon this toner almost a year ago at Marshall’s and I had been using witch hazel to tone with. I wasn’t too fond of witch hazel as it left my very very oily skin super dry and parched. This rose water is literally just that! It’s just roses and electro magnetized water because the company says that kind of water isn’t more beneficial for your skin and after using it I have to agree. It smells so nice and it is a gentle rose aroma and is not over powering in the slightest. This toner does a really good job at removing makeup, excess oil, and dried face mask bits. My favorite combo is this rose water followed by neutrogena hydro boost water gel moisturizer. They leave my skin feeling soft, supple and cool. This rose water is perfect for the winter and summer and I sometimes use it as a body spray too because of how nice it smells! It’s so affordable and lasts me about a month and a half if I’m not being too heavy handed lol

My second bottle...LOVE
This is my second bottle of this Rosewater and I am in love. I bought my first 4oz bottle at a health food store to try it out. I was drawn to this brand over rose waters made my cosmetics companies because it is pure rosewater. No extra chemicals added. I have always had very oily skin, but since I have reached my upper 40s, my skin has changed to combination oily/dry. My t zone is oily with scaly patches around the edges. I read that this would be good to help balance and soften the skin. I began using it as a toner after taking off my makeup. It feels so nice! My skin is soft and balanced feeling and it doesn't strip the skin at all. I bought a travel size spray bottle and started using it before I applied my moisturizer. It boosts hydration nicely. Then I tried spraying it in my hair to soften and de-frizz and I love it that way too! If I have slept with my hair wet, it is crazy in the morning. I spritz it down with this rosewater, use a round brush and a hairdryer to smooth. Then a quick flat iron job and I am presentable. The nice, light rose scent is delightful to me. I was happy to find the larger bottle here!

Perfection! Before they raised price
This lasts forever. I bought so I could make my own leave-in. I have locs so can't use conditioners or oils or similar products in my hair without suffering build. This is a fact for everyone with locs as our hair is too dense for that stuff. Anyhoo, the only thing I put in my hair after shampoo is a simple mix made with this rose water and glycerine (60/40 most of the time). It's all I need. My hair is thriving and most of all clean and smells great!
