Great Router Bit Set
This is the type of product I love to review...a supper cost-effective product. I'm an experienced craftsman, but not a finish woodworker, so when I needed to significantly modify my favorite Oak TV cabinet in our living room to make it fit a new wide-screen TV, I had to temporarily enter into the world of routers and router bits. I had several jobs to do: round a four-foot portion of the cabinet edge with a 3/8" roundover bit, flush trim some cuts with a flushtrim bit, mortis out an exposed plywood edge with a mortising bit, cut out holes for cooling fans using a cooling-fan template and a flushtrim bit, cut off the edge of a cabinet door and reshape it with an ogee bit combined with two other bits, and chamfer the edge of a new cabinet partition. I ended up buying a Porter-Cable 7310 trim router Porter-Cable 7310 5.6 Amp 3/4-Horsepower Laminate Trim Router (see separate review) and this set of router bits. To buy separate top-of-the-line bits could have cost hundreds of dollars...instead I got 24 bits for $[...]...less than 2 bucks a piece...and they worked great! Since I didn't know anything about routing when I started, having a complete set of bits was a great way to understand the large number of tasks that can be accomplished with a router and the types of bits designed for each. I used about eight bits in total. I don't know what separates a good bit from a bad one, probably material quality, perhaps bearings and balance. Here's my experience: O All the bits seemed perfectly balanced...thus the router (a small trim router) ran smooth and was easy to handle. O All the bits seemed very sharp and all have carbide cutting edges that did a great job. O I inadvertently cut through a couple of nails that were hidden below the cabinet surface...no bad effects...the bit just ate the nails with no signs of chipping or dulling of the cutting edge O The one minor problem I had is that the bearing on my flush cut bit came off (unscrewed) while starting a cut after a couple of days of use...took two days to find the parts on the shop floor. However, I quickly substituted the same size bearing off of another bit in the set. Lesson learned: check the tightness of the bearing screw before using the bearing bits...also nice to have those back-up bits. Bottom Line...the set was superb for the one-time job that I had...and will probably serve me well into the future. And, it comes in a very nice wood chest. Highly recommended!

Much better then the price would lead you to believe
I purchased this before a decking project as I intended to put some unusual corners and edges throughout the project to break up the line and give some visual appeal. While I've used 5 different bits, by far and away the most used was the 45 degree bevel. This bit has done over 1200 feet of 1/2" edge bevels in wet pressure treated 2x6's and is still going. The bearing is getting rough at this point, and the blade edge is getting dull, but it probably has another 300 to 400 feet in it. A quarter mile of work before failure makes this set worth the price in that one bit.

Yukon Router Bit Set
This was a gift for my husband. He has a carpentry business, and is trying to change from framing to finish carpentry. He has used these router bits on several jobs, and is very impressed by the quality and durability of the set. I have no personal knowledge in using these tools. All I know is that his customers are very happy with the work he has done using them. ("best gift I ever got", he said) I'd recommend this set of router bits to anyone who wants to do fine finish woodworking.

Careful
I started using one of the small bits to make a rabbit cut. When I made my second cut, the bit broke in half. Haven't tried the rest of the bits yet, but This is not a good start. You do get a lot of bits for the price though and I hope the other ones hold up better. It could have been the router or the fact that I'm inexperienced with routers, but I figured it would be more durable. The bits do have a nice sharp edge on them from what I can tell at least.

Fine.
I've only used two of the bits so far but they worked really well. Very sharp, smooth cutting, and solid. The group seems to be chosen more for variety of cuts than range of sizes (small & medium) but the two I needed to use were exactly the sizes I wanted but if I want wider cuts, if that makes sense, I might have to shop around. But for someone who uses these periodically they are a good deal. They all are coated with oil which is not hard to get off and there was no rust on any of them.

Sharp and smooth bits. Good Value!
I was a little skeptical of these at first, but after using them on a project, I would say that I'm highly impressed by these. They spin perfectly and fit very nicely in the chuck of my router. The bits all seem very sharp and cut cleanly with no issues. As far as the long run, I'm not entirely sure how well they'll last, but these are looking promising. As for the price, you can't beat it for the number of different bits you're receiving.

Negative experiences
I purchased this set a couple of months ago. I have used two of the bits so far and ruined two projects. As reported in other reviews I had the shank on the 1/4 inch straight bit snap off. I was routing in 3/4" pine plywood. I was not overloading the bit. Next I used one of the round over bits. About half way through the project the bearing came off and ruined the project. This is a very light weight set and suitable for very light use. If you buy it take all the bearings off and use lock tight before re-installing. At the very least tighten the cap screw holding the bearings. I found several less than hand tight. I would not purchase this set. Pay a little more and get something that will last and not ruin your work. Since writing this review I have continued having poor experiences with this set. I have had other shanks break on light to medium use. I consider this set cheap Chinese junk. Go elsewhere and get a serviceable product.

These dull rather quickly and the bearings fall off during use
These dull rather quickly and the bearings fall off during use. Also a few broke off from the shanks during use which is a serious safety hazard
