I bought this product mainly because of the specific OCD relief people online have claimed it helps. I was obviously very skeptical that a pill could help my OCD, but to my surprise it most definitely has. I will admit I do not take it consistently and regularly as I should, but when I have for a week at a time or so, I notice mental improvements. My mind feels much more at ease and softer on OCD related distractions and issues. I choose to take 2 pills to notice improvements, although I may up it to 2.5 since I have seen that dosage recommended for OCD. I have not noticed any side affects from the NAC either, which is awesome. Keep in mind it will not STOP your OCD, but I do believe it will lessen its mental grasp and allow you to control your thoughts/behaviors with a bit more ease. I also read that if you take NAC before a night out drinking, it will decrease the toxicity your liver and brain will undergo, also preventing hangovers. While I only have tried this once for this specific reason, and honestly drank more than any pill could possibly prevent a hangover, I noticed it DRASTICALLY increased my tolerance. I am a SUPER light weight and infrequent drinker, so I took this largely bc of what people have said online about its potential to increase tolerance. I didn't want to have to leave the bars after 3 drinks and feel totally wasted in a college town with my friends. NAC made me feel like superman in this regard lol. I consumed quite a few mixed drinks and did not feel ANYTHING until I consumed my third drink (normally drunk with 3), I was starting to fear that I wouldn't be able to let loose and enjoy the night with friends if I wasnt going to be able to feel anything. But after finishing the 3rd I felt lightly buzzed, and continuing the night the buzz intensified lol. I also didn't feel a burning sensation in my stomach (always accompanied with drinking) and my head never felt hot or headache-like. I don't think if you took shots it would stop these sensations, but with mixed drinks and beer it did. I never felt like I couldn't control my body or mind while drinking with NAC and that is what was most comforting. My friends were impressed and I held my liquor quite well, danced a ton and felt surprisingly lucid for the amount I consumed. I cant report on the specific scientific rationale behind why this happened, but I'd advise you to take to google and see for yourself. I love NAC and will continue to use it for OCD and before drinking. I will report back and update this review in a few weeks to say how it is going and if it is still holding up to how it has worked so far. I definitely suggest you give it a shot if you have OCD and/or want to prevent the ugly side of drinking from ruining your nights out. :)

First let me give you a summary of my 10 year old daughter. She's always been a problem child, literally since day one. For some that may be a hard concept to imagine, but for those who have ever dealt with a child with behavioral/emotional/mental issues I know you guys understand me. She's always struggled in school, at home, in social situations. Comprehension has never come easy to her and getting her to read anything was literally like pulling teeth! She was eventually diagnosed with ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) because her behavior had gotten so bad both at home and in school. She had CPS called out to the home for making bogus statements at home. Life was extremely stressful to say the least. I was at a loss and heartbroken when I was advised that the only thing I could do to "protect" myself and her siblings would be to start calling the cops on her myself and making a police report (yes it got THAT bad). I've tried everything imaginable, every kind of supplement I came across but to no avail. I even gave in to try medicines which helped the mood, but only really seemed to temporarily mask the problem. With the side effects of the medicine already having me feeling on edge, I didn't feel comfortable upping the dosage so we opted to discontinue and seek other treatment. I have researched and researched and finally came across NAC supplement. I read a number of articles and realized that she would be a pretty good candidate to try this. I began giving this to her on the evening of 02.26.16 and the NEXT day she was reading like she had been reading all of her life! I could have cried watching how excited she had become about reading literally OVERNIGHT! Within less than a week she managed to reach her comprehension goals at school and her mood is so much more positive! ***Update 01/2017 - We had a bit of a set back regarding mood issues (I'm thinking due to changes in hormones caused by mensturation) but have since changed up her vitamins with positive results. She is now diagnosed more towards Bipolar and OCD btw. I tried her on St Johns Wort and Lithium Orotate and although I could see a difference it wasn't helping mood and aggitation like I was hoping it would. Plus it seemed to make her OCD behavior worse. I did some research and found that sometimes mood disorders aren't serotonin related (Which most doctors primarily focus on) but dopamine. So we searched for alternatives and found L-Tyrosine. So far I am thrilled. For those interested her daily regime is below. Keep in mind I am not a doctor, just a loving parent who wants to give her child the best chance at life! :) Note, I'm not including dosage because everyone is different so I encourage starting low and working up to the dosages that you find works for you! If quality and value for the money matters to you, this is the right choice.

These are big pills and I am not a fan of the taste. But they are helping. My doctor told me about NAC for my health issues. Now has been my go to vitamin shop for years. I believe the quality is there and pricing is better than most.

I’ve purchased this twice now and have been happy with it. The tablets are a decent size but manageable, and the bottle lasts a long time with 120 tablets. I like that it is a straightforward NAC supplement without a lot of unnecessary extras. I take it as part of my general wellbeing routine and have found it easy to keep consistent with. The packaging was fine, delivery was quick, and the product matched the listing. The only thing I’d mention is that it doesn’t taste the best, so I usually breathe through my nose when taking it. The tablets are also a little large, so that may matter if you struggle swallowing tablets. That said, it’s a small price to pay for a product I’m happy with. Overall, I will be buying it again. Now has been a very strong brand for me and my health.

After listening to the Huberman Lab podcast, I purchased a bottle of the supplement. However, after taking one pill, I woke up extremely dizzy. I stopped taking it, and after half a day, I felt fine again. A week later, I tried again, but 8 hours later, I experienced vertigo-like dizziness. I immediately stopped taking it, and it's clear that the supplement is causing this reaction. Unfortunately, I can't return it.
