I get awful ingrown nails on my big toes. It’s kind of freaky, but I get a sharp and pointy second nail growing in underneath my toe nails that I have trouble removing because I can’t lift the ingrown regular nail. I see a pedicurist who can sometimes get it out, but it always comes back and she’s been unavailable lately. So I decided to try this product as I was hurting (though no pus or infection). The first few days I felt no relief other than the ring cushioned my toes so it wasn’t as painful to wear shoes. But on about day 5, I was finally able to lift my nails with a metal tool and remove small but sharp pieces of nail that were causing so much pain. As a precaution, I applied hydrogen peroxide after removing all adhesive residue and washing my feet well. Just an FYI that the gel stinks really bad, and the rings leave adhesive on my nails that ruins my polish and is difficult to remove (acetone nail polish worked for me). Also, I’m out of the rings and strips needed to keep the gel in place but still have gel left, so I wish a couple more rings and strips were included. I had used up a couple (needed to keep that stinky gel in place) when I first tried it but stopped after using it twice as I quickly concluded it didn’t work. But this product really did work for me when I used it longer, and I just bought it again to have on hand to use at the first sign of any ingrown nail pain. I’ll go to a podiatrist if I ever get signs of infection, but I’d rather manage the issue myself and this really works. 5 stars.

Worked well-when combined with other products

4 stars because I haven’t seen the full results yet. (45-day Update below) 1 star - pain relief. It does subside the pain. 1 star - I think I see healing progress? 2 stars - it clearly isn’t actively hurting me. Interesting note: it smells as bad as opening the door to a Japanese natural hot-spring onsen. But that water heals like crazy, and the rotten egg smell becomes a harbinger of healing. Rotten egg smell from the sulfur in the product, is totally acceptable if that’s why expert chemists say and prove can heal my issue. UPDATE About five weeks after receiving and using this, my nail is safely growing back. I used it for about a week, meticulously following instructions, and it softened the nail enough that it lifted and could be clipped safely on one side. It looked gnarly for a few weeks, with half broken, I just had to be careful not to catch it on fabric for a bit. I also used an epsom salt foot spa a few days a week. But 5 weeks later, my nail has grown enough to push off the excess and start taking its proper shape again

Good product however poor Amazon handling. it came not in the original box but loose...not sure whether to keep or not.. I've ordered this many times and always have come in the Dr Scholl's box until this order..

Ingrown toenail is literally the worst. 2 days of consistent use of this product and bam I was able to lift the nail enough to eliminate the issue. Easy to use. The gel does help ease the pain but stinks ,but worth every dime! If you follow these simple instructions you'll be in good shape within 24 to 48hrs.

Been waiting for a few weeks for two big toe ingrowns to grow out from a nail tech that kept cutting the sides on an angle ,so I wouldn’t have pain . I decided to tell her I’m growing it out don’t angle it . The pain while wearing shoes was awful. I was actually compensating so much that all my toes hurt and and my heals . I bought this on a whim . One over night use ,what a huge difference! Then again a second night . I cannot believe the difference. I guess it softens the nail so it’s not sharp . I had even filed them smooth prior to the Dr Scholl’s ,but that made it worse ,I guess because it made it shorter . I wish I had purchased this weeks ago, I would’ve saved myself such agony . Don’t hesitate to try this . It’s easy to apply and really helps while you grow out the edges of the nail past the skin. The epsom salt soaks help as well , but this made a world of a difference.

Beleive me it's awsome product comes with lot of additional taping .I initially felt it expensive was about to cancel my order. I would have regretted . My toe recovered just with one application. Do dip your toe in hot soapy water in between to lesson initial severe pain.

This worked for me after the third application. I couldn’t get to the podiatrist as I was going on holiday. It softened the toe nail and the skin around it. I was able to release the nail from growing inwards. I didn’t notice a bad smell. I have enough left to use it again if needed. I’m just trying to make the nail grow properly. I was able to enjoy my holiday without any pain.

There is No gel inside the box
