Not even close to rice size
Inconsistent size, between uncooked small grain arborio and ready couscous, I am guessing that due to their size and storing in water, movement and friction dissolve them partly in the water, or a production issue. Basically, you just enhance the volume of the dish, no added texture or illusion of rice. The amount is insufficient for a side dish with sauce or a strong taste.
