Rocksmith 2014 Edition with Real Tone Cable (PS4)

This "game" is so amazing! When you first start your game up, it will have you plug in the Guitar/Bass and it then teaches you how to tune it. Then you start some lessons on hand placement and strings. Next thing you know an hour or two goes by and you're playing bits and pieces of an actual song. I'm not the quickest to pick up and learn something new, but in just a few weeks I have mastered a few songs and would even be comfortable playing along with some friends on the beach without the need of the game. It teaches both Bass and Guitar and does a great job at it. I highly recommend if you want to get into music, it's a great tool.

As described, way better selection of songs than the current subscription based Rocksmith. I bought this because it will no longer be sold by UBIsoft. The DLC content will not be available for purchase at the end of 10/23.

Love playing this game it helps you learn how to play the guitar easily.

Product came in original box. All items were included that was stated on box. I inserted the dvd and loaded onto ps4 and was able to start using the program. Lacking was how and where to plug in cable. A picture showed an alternative connection with external speakers. No instruction on pluging provided cable into ps4 console but did show plugging into an amp looking box. So very confusing. Should have stated plug cable into guitar and USB end into ps4 console. After starting rocksmith 2014 followed setup and made it to selecting a choice from menu. I did notice the lag they stated using the provided cable. I will investigate using an optical audio cable in future and do look forward on trying out more of rocksmith. Overall satisfied so far.

Great learning tool

Did not work with playstation store. Issue to buy songs one must buy from game menu then launch playstation store.. BUT. It will not work for disk version. The download version does. Not one song can be downloaded using this product, and the cable needs to be tapped right away. I was able to play for around ten hours before the cable no longer functioned. The price is also not very competitive.

This work for what it is. It's an older version that did not come with everything that came with my original version but it works for what it is just fine. If you're wanting to learn to play guitar and don't need a whole lot of content this is pretty good start.

Worked good- got as a gift

Very fun, learned how to play the bass guitar with this after not knowing how to play at all... I literally played (i can't get no) satisfaction by the rolling stones with no prior experience, my brother who plays guitar professionally was quite shocked when he heard me strum an actual beat md from an actual song, lol.
