I had a set of old Ford keys that were literally being held together with electrical tape, and the markings had long since worn away. I bought these replacement cases in the hope of making the keys look and feel a little less worn, less "icky." Fortunately, they didn't disappoint. Installation was straightforward, provided you pay close attention to the orientation of the internal components when transferring them from the original case. Once assembled, everything fit properly and worked as expected. The transformation was remarkable. My keys now look and feel brand new, and they're much more pleasant to handle than the battered originals. For the price, this was a no-brainer upgrade.

Was a good replacement fob for my 2017 Ford Explorer. Only minor issue was it did not have tabs for holding the inside battery piece in place. This made it a little more difficult to pop the backing plate onto a closed position. Had to realign battery piece with a mini screwdriver as snapping back into final closure. Hope that is understandable. Works just as it should. Ordered another for our backup (silver hook piece broke out on it) and same issue.

I’ve ordered these two times and for the price and the quality you get for some cheap plastic is ridiculous first off I promise you if you order two right now you will get two different outcomes like the first one had problems with the clips and not being secure I dropped it once and the back popped off and was never good again now this one I just ordered is even worse the clips don’t seem like they fit together so i just kinda rigged it but the fob hardly works now it’s terrible please buy something and anything else just not from this seller oh and plus the first one I ordered felt so cheap and flimsy now this one had some weight to it but now it doesn’t properly fit together

I fussed and fought with this fob for days trying to get it to work, swapping parts between my old, broken fob and this one. The first thing I encountered is the little plastic paddle-shaped piece had fallen out, and I didn't realize it had to be inserted between the batteries, and the batteries have to be installed with the positive poles together and the plastic in between. It is illustrated on the plastic piece if you are wearing your glasses and can see well enough to make out the tiny print. The next problem is that two 2032 batteries are too thick, and two 2025 batteries are too thin. You have to mix the batteries to get the right thickness, and everything starts working. When I started digging into the parts, I discovered that my old fob had the same battery setup--a 2032 on the bottom, the plastic piece, and a 2025 on top. In that configuration, it worked. Otherwise, nada. I don't know if all units are the same, but that's what it took to fix this one. Everything is identical to my old fob, as far as I can tell. If your new fob isn't as clicky, it may be that your rubber insert is out of position or the case isn't snapped together quite right.

Not bad could be worse. Really snug fit and hard to swap the stuff into. I would rather keep my banged up key. I kept it for a backup incase something happened but the quality is noticeably worse than oem (naturally).

Exact replacement and worked like a charm. Had already watched a few YouTube vids on these fobs (of which I am NOT a fan) but due to small plastic pieces breaking the lower metal “holder” clip thingee (that’s an OEM term LOL) wouldn’t stay on ours. There also was a sticker on the packaging that said, “If the 2032 batteries keep it from closing, try the 2025 ones” which I thought was odd. But I had no issues. I took my time and sat down at the table with a small screwdriver, flashlight, and one of those trim tools. Instead of using the included silicone “frame” overlay thing for the circuit board, I just removed it and transferred it over from original since it was already in place. Carefully removed the middle piece, swapped out the metal emergency key for the blank, and snapped it back together. Tested buttons and had no probs. No issues at all. Had previously ordered one of those jackets for another fob but it feels bulky and buttons are kinda hard to press through the 2 layers so thinking about ordering another one of these.

Silicon component where to put the electronic device is too hard not flexible or pliable and buttons does not work.
