This book is amazing! I purchased it and i thought that it would be very hard to understand. However, to my surprise it is very simple and understandable indeed. A perfect guide for beginners in my opinion. A solid 5 star review from me

Whether you're an aspiring aerospace engineer getting your foot in the door, or a current student brushing up on the basics of the many facets of the field, this book is not for you. Do not allow yourself to be swayed by the foreword, which was written by Skylab astronaut Ed Gibson. It is clear that the version of the book being provided here is not the version he read, if indeed he read any version at all. This is print-on-demand garbage. If the information within was broadly accurate, it might have been redeemed, but there are parts of this book that are just plain wrong. Typos (some benign, but others very serious, such as incorrect annotation of figures e.g. annotating a flow diagram "Flow goes from right to left" when the exact opposite is true, or referencing "...Skylab, America's first space station (see figure 4.3)..." when figure 4.3 is a photograph of the ISS), grammatical errors galore, occasionally just incorrect information, rampant speculation, and printing errors which make equations and formulae unreadable (yes, the blurb says you don't need to know any math. Yes, it's a lie. Whilst you don't need to DO any math to read the book, you would need a good grasp of arithmetic, as well as an understanding of how to read mathematical equations, in order to make sense of those written in the book, IF they made sense even to someone who has this knowledge. But the poor printing means exponents are written simply as full-size numbers e.g. g2, which is confusing at best and misleading at worst). Other reviews include photographs of offending pages and detailed descriptions of why this book is not fit for distribution. Read the one-star reviews, which are the accurate ones. Ignore reviews from parents whose children "love this book"; the parents don't know enough to recognise they're giving their poor kids garbage. I worry for the future of those children who will go on to repeat the 'information' presented within as if it were fact. I need you to understand that I was given this book as a gift, and, ordinarily, I'd donate gifts I didn't like so someone else could enjoy them. But this book can't be donated. It's that bad. I would never want any aspiring aerospace engineer to read this book. I will try to have it returned somehow, and if this can't be done, it my well be trashed or burned. To the authors: I'm sorry this review was so harsh. You are probably very respected and accomplished in your field. But the print is terrible, and this needed an English editor.

The first 32 pages is a story of a man who's got absolutely nothing to do with Aerospace Engineering. Very disappointed.

Bought this for my son and it looks like it was printed in some ones spare room ,graphics and the feel of the book are terrible I feel terrible to even give it to him

I do not recommend this book, it is fundamentally and factually wrong in most aspects. As an Aerospace engineer, I do not know how this book was approved for publication. The author didn’t pay much attention to grammar as well. I think selling this book is a scam.

Overpriced for such a short book

Great book for begginers and enthusiastics in Aerospace Eng.

This is a pretty basic book useful for the non-technical curious, written by someone who does not seem to be a specialist in the area. It is too basic for engineering students and contains some explanations which are dangerous for the engineering student for being oversimplified. I already found some errors such as confusing density (rho) with pressure (p) and showing some images that are not physically accurate. The frontpage already hints at it: a spaceship with what seems to be a gas turbine, which would not work in the vacuum of space... But it might be useful for the non-technical curious, just not engineering study.

Excellent book!! It explains what you need to know in a simple way.

I cant believe i paid this much for knowledge i gained at high school. Shame on you...
