I practise yoga regularly, have done for years and I have been thinking about buying a pressure point mat for a while after reading in my yoga groups of the benefits of using an acupressure mat, i.e, improving blood circulation, therapeutic massage etc. I decided to buy the Yangtastic massage pad because it has organic coconut fibre rather than the foam that most mats have and also because of the pure cotton linen cover. I'm very happy with my purchase, it came with a very useful cotton carry bag and also includes a microfibre towel that helps get you started using the mat as it can take a while to get used to the spikes. My muscles are sometimes a bit stiff and achey after a yoga session so I'm getting into the habit of lying on the mat during my wind down time.

I can't tell much about pain relief, as I don't suffer from any, I use this mat for relax, because I like to torture myself ;) It is painful at the beggining - for the first time I couldn't stand it for more than 2 minutes, but you can start using it with your clothes on you and with each time it will getting better. After a few minutes lying on mat I don't feel pain at all, and after 10-15 minutes it starts to be comfortable and relaxing. Muscels are getting less stiff.I am also satisfied with the quality of materials in this mat. I am using it with a pillow, that I bought separately.

I spent a long time researching all the accupressure mats available on Amazon and read lots of reviews. This was my top mat of choice. This mat is less sharp than many mats and is a more natural inner and cover. The mat is rather small as are other accupressure mats. So I bought two mats. The second mat can be also be used by a family member at the same time.
