These are great for removing my scleral contact lens. For HARD lenses, not soft.
I just found out I have keratoconus which causes my cornea to be very oddly shaped. No one could ever correct my vision in my left eye and no one knew why. Finally, I found an eye doctor who immediately knew what was going on. To correct this situation, I need a contact lens called a scleral or "big" lens. This is a hard, really big contact that covers the whole eye and part of the white of the eye. And BOY did it change my vision. I can see 20/15 now when before, I saw a blurry big E and that was it! The problem with these big lenses is that they're tricky to put in and take out. I briefly wore soft contacts and could just pinch them out of my eyes but that can't be done with this hard lens. The plunger is the only way I can remove the lens. It easy grasps onto my lens and allows me to remove it painlessly. It also holds onto the lens so it doesn't end up lost. These lenses are very, very expensive so I can't afford to lose the one I have. If you have soft contacts, this tool won't work well. These plungers are for hard contacts and they work like a charm. I like that these are each in their own little case. I carry one with me in my purse, another in my glove compartment, and one at home. They're simple but necessary for me to safely remove my lens. I got the three pack and the price was great. For me, these are absolute must haves. If you have hard contacts or scleral ones, these plungers will get the lenses out of your eyes fast, easily, and with no discomfort. They can be used to insert the lenses as well but I use a different tool for that.

Fantastic, work brilliantly, but ONLY for 'hard' Rigid-Gas-Permeable contacts, not soft lenses.
These have changed my contact lens-wearing experience. RGP lenses are enormously superior to soft lenses, but man are they a hassle to remove - and a risk, because the normal method of pinching your eyelids to 'pop' them out can easily cause the lens to go flying and get lost or damaged. Taking them out was just so much hassle, and if I didn't get them out right away and my eyes started to water it was hopeless. So, in defiance of everything I knew and everything my eye doctor told me, I wore my lenses for sometimes weeks at a time. With these, taking my lenses out is an absolute breeze, and takes literally a few seconds for each lens (not including cleaning time). It's a little bit weird taking this little rubber thing and sticking it in my eye - and I say that as someone who has worn contacts for three decades - but you just power through it, and it makes the process so easy that it is completely worth it. For best results, wet the suction end so it gets a better grip - I use water, but lens solution might be preferable for some. If you have trouble at all, make sure you're planting the cup firmly on the lens. Obviously you have to do this by feel and 'vibe' since you can't focus on something that close to you in the mirror, but it's not as tricky as it sounds. Sometimes it takes two tries to grab the lens, but that's pretty rare. Honestly, these things are so close to effortless than everyone who is leaving reviews saying they don't work I can honestly say is doing something wrong or trying to get out soft lenses with them. You *cannot* remove soft lenses with these, but you can pluck those out of your eye pretty easily with just your fingers. 10/10 would buy again. I don't know when I'll need to, because these are pretty sturdy. I've been using the same one for a month now and it's as good as the first time I used it.

Good Lens Tool
These are great for removing lenses, as I have dry eyes & wear RGP contacts. (Can't wear soft lens due to astigmatism.) Often I need to remove the lenses midday, clean, & re-wet them, but as my eyes are so dry, I can't "pop" the lenses out & have resorted to picking them off my eyes with my fingernails. These have solved that problem. (Wonder why my optometrist hasn't told me about this product? He does know of my dry eye problem.) However, they just won't work for inserting the lenses, as the lens insists on sticking to the tool instead of going onto my eye. So I'll continue to insert the lenses with my fingers, as that's never been a problem for me.

Get eyelashes out of the way
This removal tool works great for removing my RGP hard contacts. I tested it out immediately after receiving delivery. I have used this type of removal tool successfully now for right at 50 years. I just have to be sure to get all eyelashes out of the way before trying to suction the contact. Any eyelash between the tool and the contact will keep it from working.

Easy to use!
Highly recommend these contact removal tools! DMV is by far the best in the game. They are small and less intimidating than other plungers I have tried. Purple is an added plus โจ

Difficult to Use
I chose this lens remover because it had a lot of reviews and was more expensive than many other options, so I expected it to work well. Unfortunately, it has been very disappointing. I use it to remove my OK lenses, and it often takes me more than 15 minutes every day just to get them out. The suction does not seem to work properly, which makes the whole process extremely frustrating. For the price and all the positive reviews, I expected much better quality and performance. I
