Does this cover have an open back so you can put things under the table?

No but you can put things under the table

Need this to fit a countertop-height table - 48" l x 24" w x 36" h. will this work? or can the seller please direct me to a tablecloth that will work?

This cover is made for a table with 48" Length x 30" Width x 30" Height dimensions. The cover will be slightly overstretched, by 6", when being used on your table. It will be more difficult to put on but should still fit.

What size did you get for the Massage table?

I did not use to cover a massage table. I covered a regular 6ft table and it fit perfectly.
