Aleene’s — A Top Quality Glue for Whatever the Project!
Aleene’s 21709 Jewelry & Metal Glue; 0.7 ounce tube. Aleene’s instant adhesive is a top quality product at a very competitive price. Look no further, this brand instant glue is quick and easy to use and leaves a strong bond. I build miniature 3D metal models that are extremely tiny and very delicate. I use this Aleene’s Jewelry & Metal Glue when the parts don’t want to necessarily line up, stay tightly in place or when something definitely goes wrong. These model parts are made out of extremely thin sheets of metal. Being that I use different size pliers to shape and manipulate the extremely tiny parts, sometimes things can and will go wrong. Each model is different, but I always seem to find myself needing to use this glue on some part of my model builds. This glue is a little different than your usual instant glue — it dries clear without the usual hazing you get from other glues. Also, it bonds almost instantly, but part of the glue still stays somewhat wet for a few minutes longer as well — so be sure not to touch the bonded joint right away. Maybe that’s their trick to it drying clear — an instant bond with a slower flash point??? This Jewelry & Metal glue is in gel form, which makes it easier to apply and it keeps the glue where you want it. Depending on how thick you apply the glue, it will change how quickly it totally dries. I have also tried to use “Zip Kicker” (CA Accelerator) with this glue, but I didn’t like the results — it seemed to get a bit messy, instead of speeding up the drying time. If you think you might want to try to use accelerator, or feel you need to use it, I would suggest to try testing it on something that really doesn’t matter first. That way, if something does go wrong, it’s no loss. I found it easier to just put a dab of this glue on a scrap piece of cardboard and then quickly apply the glue with a sharp toothpick to really be able to apply it in the smallest of places. This glue has really been a big help — my model builds and projects are that much better and go together with a bit more ease! Because of this glue, my models are built to perfection, and it makes working on delicate projects much more enjoyable by avoiding the frustrations of not having the proper adhesive for the job at hand. I too have had the cap get stuck on the tube before the tube is finished as other reviewers have stated. This is the only issue I’ve had so far with this glue. I usually end up buying another tube with another cap and use that cap on the original tube I started with to finish the tube. I might try taking the whole cap completely off each time and put a dab of glue on the cardboard that way. Not sure if it will make a difference, but it’s worth a try. I have also purchased the smaller Aleene's 94830 Jewelry & Metal Glue 3-Pack of 0.1 ounce tubes. I haven’t tried those yet, but maybe having less glue at a time will actually work better and won’t end up wasting as much. Either way, next time you are shopping for an instant glue, skip over all of those other glues, and pick up a tube or two of Aleene’s brand glue. Because of the many differences in each glue and types of materials out there, it might be best to first go to the Aleene’s website and compare each listing for each type of glue. Pay close attention to each description — not all glues are the same. Although many of their glues will look similar, there are sometimes very subtle differences in the way they are applied, the time it takes to dry and other important factors. These differences in the glues are just as important as to which tools you use on your project. I’ve stopped using other brand glues for my projects, and You Should Too!

Worth the purchase!
This was one of the purchases I was most unsure of, and turned out to be one of the best purchases on Amazon yet. This jewelry glue held my metal frame glasses together for nearly 2 months until they were rebroken by a toddler. And it would have continued to hold up had said toddler not tried to force them closed haha. It dried clear and you would've never known the glasses were broken. Genuinely so impressive how solid and effective this glue was. Even on something like glasses that are being taken on and off and moved around it never budged. I did let it dry overnight because it was not a quick dry like superglue. Doesn't have a strong odor. Overall really easy to use and very effective, and the tube is really big compared to the tiny super glue tubes so you likely won't run out for a while if you're just trying to fix odds and ends pieces!

Strong adhesive that works great!
I’m very happy with this glue. It bonds metal and jewelry pieces securely and dries with a strong hold. It was easy to apply, and I only needed a small amount to get excellent results. The adhesive dries clear, making repairs look clean and professional. Great quality, reliable, and definitely worth the price. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a strong adhesive for jewelry or small metal repairs.

Did the job
I do not appreciate the opening oozes waaay too much product. I reverted to using a needle to poke the opening. I used it to repair my 21K gold ring. It did the job in gluing the diamond but it already fell out once and I needed to redo it. I think I didn’t put enough the first time . It is like using superglue so you need to be very precise with how much you need. Then wipe off the access and clean them so your diamond doesn’t loose shine because they do cloud up the rocks. We will see about durability this time

This may be your new go-to glue!
PROS: Perfect size for detailed work. Bonds surfaces quickly (I wore gloves to prevent my finger skin from sticking together). The scent wasn't strong, very tolerable. It was easy to apply (screwed the tip onto the container and squeezed gently to begin). Didn't take long to dry (similar to super glue; within a few seconds it was already sticking). Very effective and strong! Very affordable price. CONS: You have to work quickly, it bonds so fast you don't have much time to reposition if needed. ----------------------- OVERALL EXPERIENCE: This is the first time I’ve tried this glue, and let me say, I’m pleasantly surprised. It was easy to squeeze, came out a little thicker like a gel, so it stayed where I wanted it (although I do recommend wearing rubber gloves so you don’t accidentally glue your fingers shut), and it set really quickly. It says to cure for 24 hours, but in less than a minute, the metal charms I glued to the rocks were already stuck in place. I was able to pick the entire rock up just by the metal charm, and that was only after a few minutes of drying! And it’s so affordable. I think I’ve found my new go-to glue for art projects!

Comes out quick!
I bought this to attach metal shapes to fabric, and although a lot of reviews said it was hard to use because it comes out quick, it still seemed like it would work for what I needed and not fall off the product. The other reviews are so right that the glue comes out really fast; I'm pretty sure I've glued the nozzle to the tube because after poking a small hole in the film with a sewing needle, it still GUSHED out. I've managed not to glue the lid on (yet) and even though the opening at the tip is tiny, it still comes out way faster than you expect. WEAR GLOVES, and protect your clothing, because it WILL stick to your hands (pretty sure I have glue on my finger from two days ago still) and does NOT come off clothes (accidentally got some on my jeans). Despite all this, it still works REALLY well for what I needed. Now I don't have to worry about metal accent pieces falling off the purses I'm making because this glue really does hold stuff in place nicely. You just have to be careful with it and not squeeze the tube too much. Working slow is better or else it comes out SO fast. UPDATE: I've had this for a few months now but I've only used a very small amount of it a handful of times. The lid is now permanently glued on. It's just so viscous and adheres to anything so quickly, it's hard to wipe clean, not get it stuck, and put the cap back on in time. I liked how well it worked on the things I used it on but now 95% of the tube is worthless because I can't get the cap back off any longer. Would work a lot better if it was thicker maybe? Or if it came with multiple caps so when you ruin one you can switch to a new one. I think mine would have been fine if it didn't just keep piling up each time I used it.

Best crafting glue!
I would describe this glue as something between superglue and E6000. It takes longer than superglue to dry, but not too much longer. The viscosity is that of a gel superglue and the nozzle opening is pretty small for decent application precision. I use this glue for most of my crafting needs now: From reinforcing jewelry closure knots to wood to attaching stones to magnets. As other glue products I have tried have done, the glue does continue to seep out after use. The first package of this glue had to be replaced as the nozzle broke off inside the cap, so I am still trying to find the right moment to screw the cap back on without worry. I do make sure to wipe all around the nozzle to get most of the glue off to prevent this from happening again, although I was taking this precaution when the cap became sealed to the nozzle the first time. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen again because I absolutely love this glue! Did I mention the price is pretty much unbeatable for the amount and quality of the product?

Funziona perfettamente.

Amazing
I have this necklace which I wear during the university semester as a good luck charm (it doesn't come off till after exam results have come in). It is a ruby in zoisite gem set in a stainless-steel setting. I have been wearing for 3/4 of each year for the last 7 years. It fell out of its casing the other week and no jeweller was willing to set it for less than $100. So off to google I went looking for a cheaper solution and came across this item. For less than $20 I was able to glue the gem back into place. Now this glue is super industrial strength, once it is a spot…it aint moving from that spot. You only need the slightest amount of pressure on the tubing cause anything that isn’t bonding the two items you want together will dry white and hard – and no acetone will get it off (see the backing photo). But as it is only on the back, I don’t care that much to the look of the gem… but anyone buying will want to keep this in mind. Wear gloves cause you DON’T want this on your skin!!!! and make sure you work in a ventilated area as there is a bit of a smell with it (not heaps but still.) But otherwise Super Super Super happy to have my good luck charm back on for my last semester of my degree knowing that the gem wont be going anywhere.

Super strong! Go for it!
Absolutely worth the money! It's a super strong glue. I glued two painted air dry clay pieces and it's not budging at all after drying. I repaired a watch strap as well and it's not come off at all. Both items would separate on using other glues. So totally go for it! Worth the money!

Very good as a jewelry and metal glue
It is the first time for me using a purpose made glue for to create jewelry. Tiny hole in tube applicator produces precise, small amounts, and a very strong bond is created almost immediately. Advisable to let sit for a period to fully cure. Material specs advise to use in a well ventilated space to be on the safe side but I didn't find any detectable smell. Bearing in mind my limited experience I would rate this product as excellent.
