The Billionaire Banker Series - Box Set

I liked how the story kept me engaged and i did not want to put it down. Though I did not like parts where it skipped storylines, feeling like parts of the story were missing? It was still a good book and very detailed. I would recommend this to my friends or family who also love books like these. I give it 5 stars.

This box set review covers the first three books in this series - Owned, Forty2 Days and Besotted. It appears there may be one more book coming that will tie this story up tightly and move us on to other characters. Even so, this story is pretty much complete and well worth reading now. If there is more, it will only be a bonus to what already exists. Every time I begin to think this genre doesn't have very much more to offer, and the books all start reading the same, I come across a story that blows me away. This set was one of those instances. Lana Bloom's mother is dying of cancer and all conventional medicine has failed. There is a possible experimental treatment in the U.S. (Lana lives in London) but it is extremely expensive and Lana has grown up in poverty. She decides that her only viable option to obtain that amount of money is to sell herself and her virginity. The only man she knows who might be able to afford what she is asking is her boss, a brutish weasel. He takes her to an upper class restaurant to discuss her proposition, which is where banker Blake Law Barrington first sees her. Blake belongs to the highest subset of the world's uber rich, those who rule the world through money. Blake invites Lana and her boss to a party where he connects with Lana prior to the deal with her boss being finalized and, without knowing the particulars, offers Lana twice whatever amount she was proposing. Thus begins the 3 months during which Lana will be owned by Blake. Although this storyline sounded like many I've read before, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the content was so much more than the many before it. The character development was amazingly consistent and well portrayed. The story flows beautifully from one scenario to the next, even when there are gaps of time between them. But I believe that what allowed this to occur, and what makes this story rise well above so many others, is the descriptive writing of this author. It was not only related to the thoughts and emotions of the characters; it extended to every aspect of the story. One could see the scenery, feel the emotions and understand the actions throughout. I don't recall having read any other of this author's books, but you can be absolutely sure that this will not be the only one I read. I have found a pearl in a bunch of oysters and I plan to keep looking for more. This is simply one of those times when I begin to question my prior book ratings and feel that 5 stars just isn't high enough. This was definitely 5+++

Very good series about Blake Barrington, very very rich banker in London who falls in love with a woman he pays one hundred thousand to be his mistress for three months. Lana Bloom finds herself in a very bad position of needing a lot of money to try to help cure her mother's cancer in a special clinic in America but does not have the funds to do this and has only one option. She must sell her virginity to get the funds and is trying to negotiate the deal at a restaurant with someone she is working for Rupert who is very unattractive, treats her like a complete slut, tries to get her as cheaply as possible, and wants to have rape fantasies with her. Blake , who is engaged to Victoria, a nasty spoiled #itch, invites Lana and Rupert to a party and intercedes and outbids Rupert for Lana. There is so much going on in this series from then on. Blake's family and Victoria's family are completely evil and twisted. The things that happen and that Blake is expected to do to remain in the family are atrocious at best. The society and how he lives his life and has is mind boggling and all this impacts Lana completely despite her innocence. Cannot wait to read the next two books to see how this all turns out.

If I could I would give this series 20+ stars...it is awwwwwesome!! This book is dark in a way that I was not expecting but so intriguing and decedent! Billionaire Banker and penniless waif meet and what do you think happens? Well yeah but NOT how you expect it all to go and trust me there are so many surprises and WOW moments and shocking scenes and moments that you didn't see coming that when it is all over you will sit back and want to read the book all over again, trust I started to and decided to put it away for a little while and revisit it in 6 months and re-read it then. I will now read Seduce Me, the continuation of this series that will hopefully answer the questions left unanswered by the end of this series. There aren't many and they don't detract from the ending of the series by any means but there are enough to keep me coming back for more. I will also look into all the other books by Ms Le Carre and purchasing those as well because she can definitely weave a wonderful, seductive, sexy and suspenseful tale, no question about it. Purchase this book, you won't be sorry and no, I didn't get this book free to review it. I bought this book over a year ago and decided to read it now and I wish I hadn't waited so long to do so but glad I read it and will re-read it again...it is a Keeper!!!

Let me start off by saying that if I had not bought this as a boxed set at the end of the first book I would have been howling in outrage. Its definitely a cliff hanger, so boxed set is the best way to read the series. This is an incredibly well written series, the characters are real enough to love and hate at the same time. Lana is a young lady trying to find the money to pay for her mother's cancer treatment and the only way she can do that is to sell herself to the highest bidder. The first bidder is a POS for sure! The rescue bidder is the billionaire banker. Blake comes to Lana's rescue and offers to double the first offer, which is more than enough money to provide for mom's treatment. Lana is surrounded by love even tho they all live in poverty, so the opportunity to have money is a little overwhelming. The story progresses well, as expected Blake and Lana fall in love. There in lies the problem. Blakes fiancee isn't happy about the situation and causes problems. Blakes father isn't happy and causes problems. Blake and Lana just keep on loving each other in spite of the difficulties until the twists and turns come which are mind blowing and totally unexpected. As a boxed set you won't go wrong with this series, but individually, I would have been soooo upset! You want to be able to turn the page and see what happens next. I love this series, hate the ugly parts of it but thats as the author intended it to be. It might not be for everyone, I wouldn't think anyone under 18 should read this for the hot as hell sexual content and the sometimes deviant scenes. Overall its a great read, a page turner and.... well just try it, I don't see how you could be sorry.

Wow. What a series. A poor virgin who is willing to sell her virginity to try to save her Mom. A rich, powerful and emotionally reserved billionaire. This box set contains the first three books of this series. This box set is how I discovered Georgia Le Carre and I became a fan. Full of dark themes, hot and steamy romance and some situations that some may find objectionable. I could not help but fall in love with Lana and Blake. Series also introduces many other character that easily make you invested in them and happily the author provides their stories in other books. If you like dark and steamy romances with very complex characters, then I highly recommend this series. If you are looking for sweet and pure move along this series is not for you.

it was a great book or books I should say. I'm disappointed in the end though. it's clear Victoria has plans to get her "man" back other then give Lana a cold stare. unless there are parts that I missed or another book? I have no idea. the books are way different then I usually read and I enjoyed it! It confused me at one point where it said April 2014 for a chapter where I assume Lana dresses up as a hooker then leaves after she has sex with Blake. Then next it goes back to 2013 was there a point to that at all? or was that just a sec scene thrown in there for no reason? but other then that it was a good read

What would you be willing to sell to save your mother? Lana is willing to sell her body to a man just for the chance that she might save her mom from cancer. When she finds out how the man is planning on using her body she knows she has to find another way. Blake steps in and makes her a similar offer, only doubles her money for 3 months of her time and body. Only with 42 days left on their contract, Lana ups a disappears with a secret. This is a must have all three books. You won't be able to read just one. Great love story, does get slightly dark in book three. Lots of sex, but this is a great three part book series with a great alpha male.

What can I say? This box set was beyond my expectations. It's gripping ,thrilling, absolutely scorching hot. The plot is something completely mind blowing .I've read too many books so far but none with this kind of plot. It really got me thinking. The only thing that got me is: how can a person who has astonishing blue eyes have a stormy gray stare???????<>an amazing writer with a vivid imagination .

Bought the boxed set, loved it, finished it in 2 days. Because I bought the set, it was easy to get lost in their world, no coming up for air, no frustrating wait for the next book to be published, just straight up, full story. I really enjoyed it-It’s the right kind of dark for me. The air of mystery and suspense, the suffocating feeling of being swept up into events & situations beyond your control- wonderful. Loved the sinister mystery of El, and it’s far reaching tentacles, the building of the relationship between Blake and Lana, the secrets that are unspoken, loved all of it. One of the best Georgia Le Carre stories I’ve read so far. I discovered this series after reading Disfigured Love, & Beauty and the Dark- (Lana’s friend, Jack’s story), and became intrigued with Lana & Blake. Gonna have myself a little break, then dive into Seduce Me. Well done, keep the books coming, you have become a other One-Click author for me.

Captured and held my interest. Really great story. Strong love story. Also I thought getting Blakes POV was done well ..better than a previous book I read where a different author did a terrible job. v

I binge read this box set over one hot and steamy night. The book starts off with our hero/antihero Billionaire Blake Barrington buying desperate virgin Lana but over the span of the three books becomes so much more. Yes, the sex is out of this world, hot enough to set my kindle on fire but it is only a fraction of the plotline. Blake is a really complicated and tortured human being, immersed in darkness. Lana is everything good, the light to his dark. Add in a group of people with a dark and twisted agenda, devastating betrayal and a love that knows no bounds then you end up with an addictive and shocking dark romance that I couldnt put down. Book three ends with a HFN but is NOT the end of Blake and Lana's story. This is the first series by this particular author that I have read but it will not be the last. Recommended to all readers who enjoy a heartbreaking dark and twisted romance story with strong characters, an intriguing plot and a hero so much better than Christian Gray.
