Decreased drying time is outstanding
My dog hates the blow dryer at the end of her bath. And the bath towels I used did not soak up water well enough at all. So after I would use a bath towel to get excess water off, it took me an excruciatingly long time to dry her with a blow dryer. I saw this on Amazon, and thought it could work well. After the dog bath, I quickly used this towel to dry her down. She loved it. Normally, the towel would be soaked after, but this shammy didn’t feel soaked at all. It took off all the excess water, and even more. It decreased the blow dryer time by 5 minutes. Other than baths, I will also use this shammy after I bring her in from the rain. Drys her perfectly. Washed it 4x so far and still feels brand new. Overall solid purchase and would recommend. Honestly wish I bought two of them!

Very absorbent pet drying towel
Prior to getting this product, I would always keep a couple of medium sized bath towels near my back entrance-way so that I could dry my two dogs after a walk in the rain. This product works so much better than a simple towel at soaking up moisture that I no longer keep the other towels there. It has been a couple of rains and snow storms since I started using it and it seems great at handling even fully soaked dogs, though mine are short and medium length fur (35 lb pitty and a 90 lb pitty lab mix, respectively), so your mileage might vary. If you have thicker furred or more dogs than me, you might want to get more of these towels to handle your pet drying needs. The towels aren't the largest, but the "hand pockets" make it much easier to use than a normal towel and the amount of water it soaks up is very impressive, even with them being smaller than the towels I used to use. I haven't had to wash the towel yet, so I can't vouch yet for how it handles going through the laundry, but it says that it is low setting washable and the construction seems more than durable enough to handle it, so I don't expect it to be much of an issue. Thankfully, my dogs aren't the types to roll around in the mud, so I haven't had a need to wash it yet.

to get rid of water,
This drying cloth is easy to use, really gets rain off dogs when they come in and easy to clean. A must if you have dogs, big or little.

Towel takes longer to dry than I'd hoped
The towel does a decent job of drying my German Shepherd Dog, but I still need a second towel to get her drier with her thick undercoat. Hanging the towel outside to dry takes longer than I hoped, and that's after wringing the water out of the towel. When camping I don't have access to a machine dryer. Hand pockets are plenty deep to get a good grip on the towel during drying and it fits around my dog's 68 lb body nicely.

This (at last) IS the Liquid Absorber
Now that was a gamble I do NOT regret under any circumstances. The Super Shammy Soggy Doggy Water Remover works better than any other product of its type I ever tried and believe me I have tried many. We bought it specifically for the new member of our crew, Abby - the Biewer, and she fell in love with it faster than you can imagine. We have had about 10" to 20" of snow in the back yard and she and our old boy, Pepper, cannot wait to play in the snow. They ran out and by the time they were ready to return, each was full of 'snow bunnies' and we knew we were going to have a water problem as soon as they came inside. Out came the Soggy Doggy on Pepper first and he just felt as if he were being caressed by one of those body rubbing folks. Abby was still running in the snow as if she had any sense. Soggy Doggy dried most of Pepper's wet and he finished the rest at his cage. I picked up Abby with the Shammy and she thought it was spectacular and it was. After we removed most of the snow from her, she headed for her cage and finished her drying without leaving a puddle along the way. I hung the Shammy in the bathroom and within an hour or so, it was dry. Dry and not damp. We liked these so much, we bought another Shammy and a flat mat for each so that they can use them for a mat to keep them comfortable and warm. On rainy or snowy days they will each have a drying station and with hope make our lives somewhat more simple.

Best thing since sliced bread!
This is THE BEST thing since sliced bread! I have 2 German Shepherds, one is a long hair. This towel dries them both faster amd more thoroughly than any bath towel out there! I keep one by the door for rainy days when they come in from a potty break and use one after giving them baths. These towels are amazing. With a bath towel I could never get the dogs completely dry. I can with these! I even bought one to put in the car incase it rains since my dogs go everywhere with me. They are thick, soft and highly absorbent. Easy to care for....just throw them in the washer. I love the pockets on each end for your hands. They give you great control of the towel while drying the dog. My dogs love them too. When I pick one of the towels up to start drying them, the dogs bury their face in it. I highly recommed this product!

Good enough
Have two slobbery bullmastiffs. Thick material, looks good & great for after drinking. Not super absorbent after their baths but they’re big dogs … 135-140 pounds.

I wish it wasn't stinky!
The good: - It's a great size; definitely big enough to dry off both of my medium sized dogs without water/mud/general yuck transfer from one to the other. - Quality stitching; seems to have a sturdy stitching and fabric that would last for some time to come - Hand pockets; love the hand pockets for belly and face drying - Really soft material; it's the highlight of getting a bath for my pups. They love post-bath wipe downs The bad: - Towel takes a really long time to dry; it's super absorbent but takes hours in the sun or a full cycle in the dryer to dry - Retains the stink; I would have 5 of these towels if it didn't retain a stinky mildew smell. I've tried everything in the wash to get rid of the smell -- sport wash, unscented detergent, apple cider vinegar and baking soda. The smell doesn't transfer to the dogs but it is pretty strong so I can't leave it by the front door on a rainy day or there's a lingering murky smell :( This would be a great doggy towel if not for the mildew smell that it retains even after washing/drying. Help me get the smell out and I'll buy more and recommend to pet owner friends!

Well made, thick, super absorbent...MUST have for outside/inside pets
This is awesome...we have a long haired retriever...always in the water, out in the rain ( south coast of BC lol) this shammy soaks it all up. a great investment..I got the big one and its huge... Also got the mat to go with this and it even sucks up the sand etc off her feet...she now knows to lay on the mat as soon as coming inside , much less mess now After a bath this shammy gets the job done perfectly soals it all up after her initial shake This is a sound investment and I wish I had discovered it years ago The quality is amazing..this thing is THICK and sturdy and you can see the stitching is thoroughly done, looks triple stitched. I have no doubt this will last for a few years

Is it wrong I want to use it?
As soon as this arrived I put my pooch in the bath to test its performance. I have a Lhasa Apso and a Cavachon so they hold a lot of water in their hair. My dog seemed to enjoy being rubbed with this rather than a towel. This shammy is EXTREMELY SOFT and probably the reason he enjoyed it. After I dried him the shammy was waaaay heavier than I started and wasn't dripping at all. I hung this on my clothes airer above my Dehumdifier and it was dry within a few hours. I cannot wait to try on a dirty pooch as I think this will capture all the debris. The pockets for your hands is a fab idea as you can get under the chin etc to dry much easier. To dry tummy place shammy under your dog and do a sawing action, back and forth. I think having a couple of these would be great, keep one in car and one in house. I'll make do with one the now. I cannot stress how super soft this is! I wish they did a human size towel made of this because it would be straight in my basket! My only criticism is the price, little bit steep for what basically is a bath mat in your hands. Great product though!

Dog loves it!
I love it! My dog loves it!! He proudly carries it around, offering it to visitors. All I have to do is say "your paws are wet" and he rushes off to fetch his towel! I am now trying to teach him to wipe his paws himself and he is doing a reasonable job of the front, the back are more of a problem. He stands patiently while I rub his back or tummy dry. The "oven glove" design works really well as you get a good grip of the towel while drying. Suddenly, my very hairy and water loving retriever is happy to be dried. I might get the rug to put in the car for him to sit on when driving home from an outing.
