Is there enough give in the bamboo for a staple gun to be used on the wire rather than using cable ties?

Dear customer, you can fix it with a weatherproof wire, nylon cord or standard cable ties. Best regards,

is it possible to get this to custom sizing?

Dear customer, thank you for your message and your interest in our products. Unfortunately we do not offer any personalisation or customisation of our articles. Kind regards,

Will cutting the pannels into shorter lengths to fit be possible, or will the ends come apart?

They are held by strong wire through each bamboo. Yes it will come apart unless you secure with extra wire at the time.

Photos show this as canes but the description is slat which is it?

Dear customer, each slat has a different diameter. The individual bamboo tubes, connected with a weatherproof wire, have a diameter of approx. 1.4 to 2.4 cm. Kind regards,
