Are you able to find any planets with this telescope?

This is my first telescope. I have owned it for about a month. Last night, I was able to easily locate & view Jupiter & Saturn. I was actually amazed that the reddish brown lines that go across Jupiter were easily visible. Saturn with its beautiful rings was was truly amazing.

Is just for star gazing? I want to point it out to sea and watch whales.
