San Marco Coffee Flavored Whole Bean Coffee, Espresso Double Shot, 1 Pound

I wasn't super surprised it smelled of peaches when I first opened the bag because let's be honest folks smelling and tasting like it should is not always the way it goes but this coffee really DOES taste like peaches!!! I'm ecstatic!! I have found my new and forever coffee!!

I purchased this thinking it would be a good dessert coffee. It is. But it's also a good cold coffee. I made it yesterday and left it overnight in the refrigerator. Poured it over a cup of ice a little while ago, added a little milk, and had myself a fruity, refreshing summer drink. If you like the taste of blackberry, give this a try!

The purchased of a Holiday Peppermint Whole Coffee Bean from Kroger, which they no longer carry, has lead me to a search for a replacement on Amazon. My flawed choice was San Marco Flavored Whole Bean Coffee, which lacks the wonderful peppermint flavor and taste of the Kroger brand. The smell of the coffee beans definitely have a peppermint aroma. Aroma is defined as a distinctive, typically pleasant smell, and specifically uses coffee in the sentence form of aroma, the tantalizing aroma of fresh coffee. I only state the definition to say that the aroma of the fresh beans does not have a pleasant smell or a tantalizing aroma of fresh coffee. It is more like a putrefied odor that penetrates the nostrils leaving one with a sensation of curdled milk. My assumption is that they use a cheap peppermint extract. Unfortunately, I actually own a bottle of cheap, Kroger's Pure Extract peppermint that has the same pungent smell. After grinding the bean and using it in my expresso machine, the peppermint aroma greatly diminished to the point that there was no hint of peppermint in the coffee. However, there was still a hint of the pungent taste in the coffee to make the coffee taste slightly indifferent to my palate. Overall, the coffee that the bean produces is drinkable but definitely does not have much of a peppermint taste.

If you love coffee and chocolate, you will love this combo. The smell alone can wake you up and get you going and the taste is amazing.

This is good coffee and will sonsider other flavors in the future but thus orange flavor is not strong at all. That was a disappointment but overall good flavor which is why I only knocked off 1 star.

If you want a delicious Blackberry flavored coffee, San Marco is what to buy. The makers of San Marco usually skimp on the flavorings of their flavored coffees (strawberry, choc. Orange, etc...) but surprisingly the BlackBerry beans have a great aroma & flavor. The others can sadly be found elsewhere, i.e. Christopher Bean brand coffees.*When grinding our own blends of flavored coffee beans, the coarser the grind, the less acidic, and adding Kona to the blend also makes a very smooth layer to any blend.If you want a delicious cup of Blackberry flavored coffee, San Marco will get you there... We grind a blend of 6 parts Blackberry to 3 parts "Christopher Bean" brand Chocolate Decadence to 2 parts Kona. You end up with a deliciously smooth blend to start your day, that is a pleasure to sip back and say, "Aaah".BTW: Christopher Bean has so many delicious flavors (and they don't skimp on flavor) they just don't have Blackberry. We haven't met one of their flavors yet that we didn't like (sorry San Marco). Also, a great value for the $$

I'm pretty bummed about this coffee. I had high hopes, as I've purchased other San Marco coffee in the past and really enjoyed it. Perhaps it is due to the fact I bought whole beans this time and have previously bought only ground.Regardless, upon opening the bag, I was greeted with beautiful shiny beans and an absolutely intoxicating vanilla scent. It filled my kitchen and made me eager to prepare a batch. I ground the beans in my burr grinder, and the lovely vanilla smell became even stronger. I was drooling at this point and could not wait for my first cup! I measured out the coffee for my French press and waited patiently for coffee bliss. Once it was ready, I sat down to savor my cup. I always smell my brewed coffee before taking that first sip, and I found myself a bit taken aback. That beautiful vanilla scent had now turned into a burned plastic scent. I was puzzled but still took that first sip. UGH! It tasted worse than it smelled. For the record, I only drink black coffee, so it's not like I would have to worry about spoiled cream or the like.I thought maybe something was wrong with my French press or favorite mug, so I thoroughly washed and dried both and attempted another batch of coffee. Unfortunately that beautiful vanilla aroma turned to a disgusting plastic, chemical like taste. I'm heartbroken.

Perfect blend for a full flavor. I was ordering direct from yellowstone general store until the price vs package size was not worth the value. Now I can enjoy the flavor once again and set up a subscription so I don't run out!
