It sounds so woowoo when you read about what little is actually needed to start the healing journey. But if you read the science it makes so much sense and shows how key nutrients support the incredibly resilient body. My 3 year old son has been on the NP for 4 months and it has played an integral role in bringing my va((ine injured son back. Within three days he was speaking in full sentences and making eye contact and today he is talking so much and so clearly, telling jokes, socializing appropriately, and thriving in every area of life. I have no doubt that there are so many other effective healing protocols for children in need but if people want to start somewhere NP is affordable, accessible, and so easy to implement.My only issue with NP is that it does not address the heavy metal toxicity in our children and it’s rigidity on avoiding this detox leaves a lot of parents worried one of the root causes is not being addressed. I hope NP gets the notoriety it much deserves and that good doctors and scientists can take a conservative approach to address this issue too. Dr. Nemechek truly cares about healing children and this protocol has been one of the greatest endeavors we’ve taken on. I can finally sleep more peacefully at night when thinking about my son’s future and his quick and beautiful turnaround is a testament to the Nemechek Protocol.

Dr. Nemechek's hypothesis is that the failure of the body to heal itself is because of the failure of the brain and the autonomic nervous system. In the book, he brilliantly and simply explains the mechanisms at play that results in autistic spectrum disorders in children, and chronic conditions in adults - which are often undiagnosable, untreatable, and dismissed by mainstream medicine/doctors. The food-based method laid out by Dr. Nemechek is aimed at treating small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) to restore gut microbiota balance and at reversing autonomous nervous dysfunction. It is easy to understand, inexpensive and simple to follow - but it does need constant, dedicated work by parents & patients. 5 months into the protocol, my family has come back from the brink of despair and stepped off the hamster wheel of (treating) chronic illness. This book and the community around the Nemechek Protocol has helped us manage some major issues (food sensitivities, anxiety, anger, tantrums, rage, chronic fatigue, b12 deficiencies and more) which were unresolved by other methods (Biomed, supplements, diets etc) for years. For autism families, this is the single most important resource they'll need to change the course of their lives.

I used to have chronic constipation, bloating, acne, fatigue, and blood sugar swings...until 2 years ago when I discovered this book.Here is my story:I had tried just about every healthy diet out there - Weston A Price, Paleo, SCD, Eat To Live (aka whole food/plant based), and last but not least The Body Ecology Diet. I also did multiple coffee enemas, colonics, as well as 12 of the Amazing Liver and Gallbladder flushes. The only thing that seemed to help were the coffee enemas and Liver and Gallbladder flushes, but sadly they were only temporary...it seemed like no matter how many I did, I wasn't actually healing. I vividly remember being completely crushed when I diligently followed The Body Ecology Diet, thinking it would be my answer, and in fact it made my IBS worse after 2 1/2 months of following it to the letter.I got an extensive thyroid panel as well as various blood tests, but everything was normal. I was at my wits end...and then my mom handed me this book.This book has literally changed my life!! Within just a few DAYS of quitting all probiotics (including foods), and taking inulin and fish oil, I felt and even LOOKED so much better! 2 months in and I was completely healed - no more bloat, constipation, acne, and fatigue. I could also tolerate foods so much better...sugar, caffeine, grains, everything.Today I still feel pretty great, unless I stray from the protocol. Following it exactly gives me the best results.A few things to keep in mind:- Make SURE you get good olive oil. It can make or break your progress.- The inulin worked for a few months, and then I had to switch to taking Xifaxin. As an adult, you may find the same is true for you.- be careful with taking any extra supplements...I've been taking some iodine as of late and I think it messed me up when I tried to increase it (from my reading, it seems like I was probably detoxing, or maybe the batch was bad, idk. Just be careful). The author also talks about many supplements on the market being fraudulent.- be prepared to have some "emotional releases" during the first few weeks/months of staring the protocol. It's weird, but I had some days where my emotions were all over the place. I also feel my emotions much more strongly now, in a good way! It's like I'm more intune with myself.I hope this proves helpful to some of you!! Healing IS possible, and no, it's not all in your head. I can't believe I had SIBO for 9 longs years, and a few simple changes made all the difference.

My husband loves this book. Very useful information for our toddler. Definitely helped change a few habits and lifestyle choices

This book is so amazing, that even my husband discovered, that he had SIBO thanks to this book, he had been visiting the Gastro for several years, and finally he brought it up to him and it was it. My son is on the spectrum, I started him at two years old, and his gains were amazing, one day I decided to stop at just because I thought it might be himself doing this gains because his growth, and unfortunately, he went backwards, so I truly believe this treatment is what’s been helping him to be able to progress in all his therapies and even therapists has noticed . I could never think Dr. nemecheck enough for this. Just give it a try it’s all natural supplements why do you have to lose🤷🏻‍♀️. And sometimes I see that many mothers give up quick because it’s a process it takes time And you have to be consistent, it’s not a miracle pill even does that sometimes it does feel when you see your kiddos progressing so well🙏

I am a strong believer in this protocol. We have used this protocol with our toddler that got sick shortly after birth and as a result has a brain injury. Since starting the protocol we have seen a lot of progress with her milestones, I recommend this to everyone.Plus it’s not something that is invasive and not harmful in any way. Definitely worth a try if you’re considering.

Amazing book . Suggestion has caused mild changes in my child . Started following since a week

This book is ground breaking and should be read by every doctor to understand how modern industrialised diets are affecting the bacteria in the intestines in turn affecting development of children's brains. Dr Nemechek explains in simple terms how this happens and how to counteract those affected with developmental disorders and ASD with cheap supplements easily available in shops. Since my 6 year old autistic son started on Dr Nemechek's treatment on 27th April, I have been greatly encouraged by tiny signs that he is "waking up" as described in the book. My boy has gone from being monosyllabic to showing a greater interest in the world and other children. He has starting chatting (albeit like a 2 year old) and having short conversations. He also wants to interact more and his sensory issues have improved. It is early days yet but looking positive. It won't work for all but definitely worth a try. Just make sure you follow Dr Nemechek's instructions to the letter, making sure you buy genuine products, especially what he advises on extra virgin olive oil. This book makes absolute sense. I've been so impressed, I have given copies of this book to my son's school, his doctor and carer. The medical world should be paying attention to this. It may not be a cure but I think it is on a par to the treatment of diabetes with insulin (started in the 1920s. ) It was revolutionary in its day. Medical world, please pay attention and put Dr Nemechek's Protocol to the test asap. On a separate but related topic, I also read about the dramatic effects that FMT had helping children with ASD. Search the internet for Arizona State University on this topic. It also talks about how treating the microbiome (gut bacteria) helped 47% of children in their study reduce their symptoms. I will update my review in a few month's time (if allowed) and will state if my son's condition improved or not. Watch this space. October 2019 update - after six months, my son is just thriving on the Nemechek Protocol. The words are spilling out and he cannot stop talking to family members. We are still a long way off from a totally cured child. My son still finds it really difficult talking with other children. Eye contact is really difficult and he is painfully shy still. But when we are in shops and restaurants, he is more confident paying for goods or speaking to staff. Only time will tell if he can overcome his chronic shyness. I will keep you updated in another few months time. June 2020 update - Good news, Now seven years old, my son has become a little bit bolder at school and talking to other children, albeit in very short spells. (He still prefers his own company most of the time). He attended school during the lockdown. The fact that the school had far fewer pupils at that time definitely helped. The quieter environment has made a big difference. My boy even asked if he could play football with the others. His speech has vastly improved and now at the level of a four year old. He is still having sensory issues such as coping with noise and lining things up. He is also going through the "terrible twos" but that is part of the "awakening" that Dr Nemechek's talks about. My son is more engaging however and we are very pleased with his progress. He is even doing imaginative play with his toys. We have changed our son's diet and ours by cooking from scratch and reducing the amount of processed food and I am convinced this has played a part too. The more you research about autism the more you find that diet and environment play a major part. Also read Dr Josh Axe's book "Eat Dirt" about "Leaky Gut" . A lot of this echoes Dr Nemechek's views . I will update this post in a few months time. 15th September 2021 A lot has happened since my last update. My son had a setback in September 2020 (last year) when the school returned with all the pupils back not just the few. It was a far noisier and distracting environment than he had been used to and the staff thought he might need to go to a special needs school there and then. It was disappointing. We re-read Dr Nemechek's book for advice which explains how to address setbacks by resetting the volumes of supplements. It took a few weeks but slowly my son settled down. We also employed a private tutor at weekends because our son has lost concentration and had fallen so far behind in class. This one to one tuition really helped. We also employed some of the techniques in Dr Robert Melilo's Disconnected Kids book to get your child to get their senses to co-ordinate together better which helped dampen his sound-sensitivity. We also made an extra effort to cut out the processed foods which had crept up over the holidays. Because my son was older, it took a bit longer to get over the setback. We also made sure he got more exercise, kicking a ball or going on his trampoline. Now aged eight, our son's vocabulary is now that of a six year old, he reads beautifully and very fluently like a seven year old. His confidence has grown and albeit he still has social anxiety, he finds it a lot more manageable. He has not been cured of autism but I do believe he would not have progressed as well as he has without the Nemechek Protocol.

Ich war anfangs sehr sehr skeptisch aber die Wissenschaft hinter Dr Nemecheks Idee ist einfach erklärt und aufschlussreich! Ich empfehle jedem, der das Buch liest und das Protokoll ausprobieren möchte, sich der Facebook Gruppe "the nemechek protocol autism and developmental disorders support group" anzuschließen. Da kann man konkrete Anweisungen bekommen, wie viel Inulin, EVOO und Omega 3 man verabreichen sollte. Ich bin froh, das wir das Protokoll ausprobiert haben; unser Kind ist innerhalb von nur wenigen Monaten fast wie vor seiner Regression! Was man allerdings beachten sollte, ist das Inulin für manche Kinder völlig ungeeignet und überhaupt nicht harmlos ist..also gilt hier auch: immer erst mit dem Kinderarzt besprechen!
