Dhea is a steroid hormone found naturally in the body. Is the dhea in this product synthetic?

Accepted Answer

Yes dhea is in this product. Dhea, used in a suppository such as this will not pass the uterine barrier. Dhea is a steroid hormone and the body does make it, however after age 30 dhea levels decline and by age 45 to 50 dhea levels are too low to support the body. There are no food sources or natural to help raise the levels of dhea. Supplementing is the only way. Dhea is the master hormone in the body and it is essential .
