I was interested in this for hanging lights on my patio. Admittedly this is not it's expressed purpose so I tried to be a little more forgiving in my star rating. I found that this product could not support the weight of a heavy duty light set, the bracket bent and because the bracket was attached during shipping the pole was very scratched up.If anyone has any suggestions for some form of pole that can attach to railing and support a heavy duty string of lights I would appreciate the advice.

works fine to hold the hummingbird feeder

Bracket that holds it to the deck is too flimsy
It's not quite sturdy enough. Yeah, it will hold small items, but anything over maybe 5 pounds is going to be trouble. Something jumped on my bird feeder and everything collapsed. The bracket that fits on your deck railing is too flimsy. It spreads apart as you attempt to tighten to your deck railing...so you can't really tighten it down good. If you want something sturdy, get theGreen Esteem 60501 36-Inch Extended Reach Deck Hook.

Worked well on our deck to hang light strings. Able to clamp down tight.Price is high, but not compared to other places

This is a great product but
This is a great product but, unfortunately, the adjustable bracket doesn't fit around our handrail far enough to keep it mounted. We will either be returning it, or see if we can't add a corner piece to the deck rail so the bracket will reach.

Shape is pretty .Very Strong and so useful as it can adjust to any height .It was perfect if you want to attach feeders/hanging plants to your Patio.

Not for hanging plants
I had hoped these would support an average sized hanging plant, but they really aren't quite strong enough. They hold but bend more than I expected.

The hook height is adjustable and the clamp is quite solid. So far I am well pleased. I just hope the finish wears well in the elements.

Very flimsy. Even a small 10" hanging basket caused it to bend. Suitable for only light items such as small bird feeders and windchimes

The steel is a little light, but works with my bird feeder. Would not support a hanging basket.
