Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

I’ve been using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Washable Mascara in Blackest Black, and it’s a great go-to for everyday wear. The standout feature is the curved “fanning” brush—it grabs even the smaller lashes and helps separate them while adding length and volume. It gives a full, fanned-out look without making lashes feel heavy or clumpy. The formula goes on smoothly and builds nicely if you want more volume. It holds up well throughout the day with minimal flaking, and since it’s the washable version, it comes off easily with regular cleanser—no harsh scrubbing needed. The “Blackest Black” shade is very pigmented, giving a darker, more defined look compared to standard black mascaras. Pros: Defines and separates lashes well Buildable without clumping Deep, rich black color Easy to remove (washable formula) Cons: Not fully smudge-proof in humid conditions May need 2 coats for more dramatic volume Doesn’t hold curl as well as waterproof versions Overall: A reliable, affordable mascara that gives a natural-to-full look depending on how you build it. Perfect for everyday use.

I have been using this mascara since high school and I love the quality of this brand. My lashes feel voluminous and I especially Love the black color that makes the lashes pop with contrast. The lash comb is flexible and glides onto the lashes. Would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends

I've tried a ton of mascaras, but Maybelline's Lash Sensational Washable Mascara stands out as a top performer—especially for the price. This product gives my lashes length, volume, and definition with a gorgeous full-fan effect. It truly opens up the eyes and gives a lifted, dramatic yet natural look. 💖 Why I Love It: 1. Excellent Brush Design: The unique fanning brush has ten layers of bristles that grab every lash—from the smallest inner corner hairs to the outer lashes—without clumping. It separates and coats each lash beautifully for a fanned-out, fluttery finish. 2. Great for Length & Volume: My lashes looked instantly longer and fuller after just one coat. You can easily build up the product without it getting heavy or flaky, which makes it versatile for both everyday and glam looks. 3. Washable but Long-Lasting: Despite being a washable formula, this mascara stays put all day. No smudging, flaking, or raccoon eyes—even through a full workday and mild humidity. And yes, it removes easily with micellar water or gentle makeup remover—no excessive rubbing required! 4. Jet Black Color: I use the Blackest Black shade, and it really delivers bold pigmentation. It makes my eyes pop without looking harsh. --- ✅ Pros: Defines and separates lashes beautifully Buildable without clumping Easy to remove with regular makeup remover Comfortable to wear—no irritation Affordable and often on sale ❌ Cons: Not waterproof (though there is a waterproof version) Might smudge slightly if you have very oily eyelids or rub your eyes a lot Not ideal for super curled hold (you may still want to curl your lashes first) --- 📝 Final Verdict: This is one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve ever used! Maybelline Lash Sensational Washable Mascara gives my lashes that perfect balance of volume, length, and definition without the hassle of difficult removal. Whether you’re new to makeup or a seasoned user, this mascara deserves a spot in your routine.

I am absolutely blown away by how this mascara performs! It delivers the perfect balance of dramatic length and incredible volume without ever looking clumpy or heavy. The formula feels lightweight, yet it keeps my lashes lifted and curled all day long. I especially love how it manages to separate every single lash, giving me a wide-eyed, fanned-out look that stays smudge-free from morning until night. It’s officially become the one product I can’t leave the house without!

Love this brand and have it on subscription. It makes my eyelashes look super long even when I feel they are not!

This is my favorite mascara to use. It doesn't smear throughout the day but still comes off easily with makeup remover. My eyes are pretty sensitive to applying anything to them, but this mascara has never bothered me. I've been using it for years!

This mascara is amazing. Into coats it more than triples the length and thickness of my lashes which are nearly non-existent due to harsh chemo in my past. One cook gives me the ability to do a second one without getting the wand in my eye which is a thing because I hardly have any lashes. So this is my deal with the three stars, supposedly it's waterproof and sweatproof but also washable. I have found that if my eyes tear it will run. Also, after wearing for numerous hours during a regular day it does tend to flake off and winds up on my upper cheek. I think I might try using it for the two coats and then using a legitimate waterproof mascara to try i think I might try using it for the two coats and then using a legitimate waterproof mascara to try seal it on my lashes. Through the years I have tried probably 50 different mascaras looking for the perfect one with lengthening, thickening, curl, long wear, with lengthening fibers, good wand, proper loading amount on the wand, and waterproof. It doesn't meet all of my criteria but it certainly gets closer than any other product I've tried. 10 bucks of tube is a steel. When I add a sealing waterproof layer on top of it I will update this review.

Amazing mascara! It doesn’t smudge, lasts all day and beyond.

This mascara is excellent. It gives great volume and definition without clumping, and the brownish black shade looks very natural for everyday wear. It’s easy to apply, comfortable on the eyes, and lasts well throughout the day without smudging. Very happy with the result.

good

I have tried many many many mascaras From cheap eight dollar mascara to $50 mascaras. This one always wins out. It’s the cheapest and it seems to work with my lashes. The absolute best. I will keep buying.

I've been obsessed with Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Washable Mascara for years, and it’s still my ride-or-die. This magical wand turns my lashes into a full, fanned-out fantasy with just a few swipes. It lifts, curls, and separates like a dream, giving me that wide-eyed, lash-tastic look that lasts all day without any clumps or smudges. Plus, it washes off effortlessly at night, leaving my lashes soft and healthy. If you want your eyes to pop and your lashes to look sensational, this is the mascara you need in your life! 😘

It starts drying out pretty quickly though, but I like the wand, it’s not too thick.
