I contacted the company and the are made out pvc - which the rep stated was boa free pvc however pvc is made out of binyl chloride which is a carcino

When you squeeze it does it squeak?

IF it squeaked, it would be described as a "squeaky ball." It also does not sing opera or cook pancakes.

The copper-activated zinc sulfide is safe for young children unless you cut it up and feed it to them, which would mean YOU are a danger to your children.
