There is no facility to "charge" it. It has to be plugged into the mains to operate.

How long is the plug socket wire? I need at least 2 from my plug to reach the desired area

What do you mean by 2 you do mot say inches feet yards or any metric length My cable is 69 inches if that helps

lt has a whisper of a hum nothing to bother you, sometimes if the surface its on isn`t level it can be a little louder otherwise, a small adjustment to its position is enough to right it, very good purchase for me anyway. Hope this helps.

Would this work in a 6x8 greenhouse

I'm using this product in my greenhouse continuously, a 6 x 8 foot area, which is insulated for my Cacti. The temperature does not get below 3 degree Celsius. I empty it every 2 days. The biggest problem I have is it freezes up! This is when the temperature gets to 3! I then have to bring it indoors and let it melt. Not too happy with this. It will probably give up soon. I've only got it before Christmas. It's not up to my job!!!
