I agree with one of the reviewers that most fishing lure retriever polls are made for motorized boats and too large to carry on small kayaks or rowboats. This is wonderful, in that it's affordable and also folds down to about a foot in size. I read other reviewers' comments regarding the attachments unscrewing over time, so used some Loctite as suggested by another reviewer to affix each attachment. So far, this has been great for retrieving items from the bottom of the lake in clear shallow water, and it looks like it will work well for retrieving lures from trees, docks, and the occasional docked boat. It does seem to hold water after use, so we try to dry well but are not sure if it will hold up over time given propensity for rust. I also like that it is not very easy to push down into the shortest position, as this allows you to actually use the hook in a push position for retrieving lures. Excellent buy given that other pole lure retrievers cost four or five times as much.

I'm a commercial HVAC technician and I've been looking for a tool that can be used to pull dirty filters from deep inside of units when it's difficult to reach by hand. A few of my coworkers have the one with the head that swivels out and costs 3x as much as this. The first time I worked with a guy and used that one, the head broke right off and was unable to be used again because it was riveted on. This one is a much better design as of the hook breaks, it can easily be replaced with a machine screw with the same thread pattern, which you can easily attach a new hook on to. I've been using this for 3 months now, and it's been very good so far. The book has slightly bent, but as I mentioned before, if it does break, it will be easy to replace. I think it was honestly a brilliant idea to make the attachments screw on and off. The pole itself seems very durable for what I need to for. If you do commercial HVAC, this is great to have. It's great on Daikin/McQuay MUA's and some Greenheck and other brand ERV's and some of the larger Carrier and York RTU's. This is a fantastic product, I just wished they would include a few extra hooks and magnets and charge slightly more. 9.5/10

If they would include some Loctite to keep the attachments from unsecuring themselves, this would be a five star review.

Awesome time-saver. Sturdier and longer than the greenlee, still small and light enough to easily fit in my veto tech pac mc. It's an HVAC/R tech's best friend. Works great for grabbing wires across the top of wide obstructions. The hook is perfect for flipping motorized disconnects above grid on fire smoke dampers/small fan coils. No need to grab a ladder! Just make sure you're wearing your EH boots and not touching anything conductive. The magnet is strong enough to retrieve small tools from the bottom of a return duct too...ever drop a wrench while tweaking economizer dampers to close like they should have from the factory? Huh. I just heard a train. Get it. It's awesome. Hell, get two and give one to your apprentice. Then, when you make them carry your bag, you know it'll be a fair fight when they say "no". Highly recommended. Seriously. I love this thing.

Very long which is nice but so easy to grip with different objects, I could think of more heads like a sticky one, a dagger one and a grabber one to really be happy with it

This is a very handy gadget. It's lightweight and telescoping so it doesn't take up much room. We use it to get hard to reach clothing out of the dryer or to get something out of a tight corner or that's fallen behind a couch. It's great for the dryer because you don 't have to bend or kneel, just open the telescoping wand and you got it. It has a hanging loop so if you hang it near your dryer or other accessible area, you won't lose it. It does a great job with light items, but it is not sturdy enough to get something very heavy ,especially off a high shelf.

This is the second one of these I’ve bought. Works great for hangers, clothes, stuff wrapped by ribbons. I’m short, so I use this all the time. My only warning is if you pick up something REALLY heavy, you might bend it. I did this but it was definitely my fault, not a failing in the part of the tool. Highly recommend FANTASTIC for decorating my 9’ Christmas tree. I’m 5’0”, this meant no ladders, no other accommodation, just decorate. Tool worked really well.

Although I have not used it yet for it's most-intended purpose, this seems to be just the tool I was looking for. I was looking for a telescoping pole to reach into and pull closer tree branches that held my snagged fishing lures as I wade-fished streams here in Virginia. It needed it to collapse small enough to carry on my person (i.e., not using a boat) and likewise be lightweight. This pole collapses to a 14" length, extends to 6' long, and weighs about 5 oz. There is a thread-mounted S-shaped hook on the end that can be exchanged for a magnet. The tip not in use is stored in a threaded hole for that purpose in the handle - nice design thinking. The price is very reasonable and should pay for itself in retrieving 3 or 4 lures. I'm thinking I might be able to clip it to the loop at the top, back of my fishing vest, but it might interfere with using the net - we'll see. Although I wish it extended even further than 6', this is the only telescoping pole I found that came anywhere close to meeting my other criteria; and I did a lot of online searching. I was surprised that none of the big online fishing tackle suppliers offered anything close to this that collapsed to just 14". The poles specifically made for retrieving lures seemed to be intended to be stored in a boat due to their rather-long collapsed length.

excellent item - use it for hanging up potted plants in a greenhouse - hook could have been a bit bigger.

Wanted to use this for hanging plants - taking down and lifting up to hang. Too weak. Telescopic handle/pole is too light for this purpose.
