Does this toothbrush have a timer? The box shows 2minute timer but I cant figure out how it works.

yes there's a timer the toothbrush will slow down when the two minutes is up you don't have to do anything it will automatically

Is this one baby blue? My wife has the dark blue one and I need to differentiate from hers. The little ring is not good enough.

The one I had was dark blue. You might have to find some other method to differentiate yours from your wife's. Perhaps a small mark at the bottom of the battery chamber could help you. You may be surprised with your ingenuity.

it does not have the same speed as the rechargeable more expensive versions but it's plenty adequate I use it for a travel toothbrush and at work

I'm buying it for travel purposes. I have the electric and its got to be 15 years old and just now may be slowing down but this is a great option for travel and a back up.
