BLOCK Classic Layered Foam Archery Target, 2-Sided Shooting, Unique Open Layer Design Stops Field Points and Broadheads with Friction Not Force, Easy Arrow Removal, Top Carry Handle

I got this target after my Yellow Jacket field bag target got worn out and it's more than adequate as a replacement. Very light and easy to move around, but super sturdy too. Field point arrows go about 1/3 of the way in and are fairly easy to remove. Nothing bounces off unlike the bag target. Should be able to take a lot of hits for a long time to come.

The "Block" target family delivers again. This target is superb. I am shooting a Mathews Halon 32 6 at a 28.5" draw length and 70 lb draw weight. At 40 yards with a 390 grain arrow, the arrow will penetrate almost the depth of the target (16") but never breaks through the back. You will need a field tip wrench (fancy name for arrow puller) to remove the arrows though. The packaging says the arrows are easily removed (but only if you have a puller). Sturdy and quiet target. I do not keep mine outside overnight so I cannot comment on its ability to withstand the elements but at only 17 lbs, it is easy to transport. I would not recommend using broadheads as I could see the target material getting destroyed over time.

Works very well, still will wear it out if you shoot the same spot, but overall same as you find at the archery ranges.

I have used this target a few times since purchasing it. I have shot at least 200 field tips into this thing at 55 lbs and it seems to be holding up. Removal of arrows is easy (~4 inch penetration), and have not had one pass through. This target is only painted on one side, but I do not foresee any issue with shooting it from either side. It is not light, but easy enough to move around with the attached handle. One word of warning though... I shot a few Rage 3 practice tips into this target and it pulled out large chunks of plastic with it. I would not recommend this target if you are planning on using anything other than field tips.

Nails holding handle gave up quick, easy fix. These have always been good targets. Arrows dont slide out but its 10x easier than most targets, especially animal style targets. Unless you're shooting light poundage bows or youth bows, this is the target you want that will last. Dont leave them in the elements though.

I have used this alot with my Raptor XF3 crossbow throwing bolts at 330fps and 150lb draw. 22 inch bolts with stubby field points only go through about half way. (the points just barely stick out the other side.) They can be a little tricky to pull out. Have to be patient and allow time for the box to "release its grip!" What worked surprisingly better was using the same bolts with older style (longer) "satellite" type broadheads with no blades inserted. These did not seem to penetrate as far, and were much easier to pull out for some reason even though the tips were sharper and more elongated than field points. I have not used actual broadheads with blades on this box, but if I did, I would push them through the back (if necessary) and then remove them from the bolts on the back side. Truth is, accuracy under 50 yrds does not change that much using different tips as long as the weights of the tips are the same. So why chop up the box using blades if it doesn't really gain any purpose ! I would definitely recommend this for crossbows and would buy again. (get the biggest one they have.)

This is a nice size target but a little on the heavy side. It work fine for my bow but it’s not good enough for my whitetail 400, bolts blow through up to fletching at 30 yards. 400fps is too much unless you have money to burn. Removing bolts and arrows alike is ok as long as they aren’t burried… the block seems durable enough for field points but broad heads eat it up
