Vitantonio Pizzelle Chef 300

Wire clip on handle does not compress batter enough. Pizzelles come out too thick. I owned this same machine(Chef 300) and used it for thirty years. The handle clip snapped into place and produced nice, thin pizzelles. Unfortunately, the nicro filaments became brittle and kept breaking so I had to get rid of it. After 30 years of use, it owed me nothing. Find out from manufacturer if this problem can be corrected. Thank you.
