Wensleydale is a rare breed longwool, high lustre fibre. Ideal for hand-spinning, felting, needle felting, dolls hair, mermaids tails and many more special projects..

100g (3.5oz) Rare Breed Wensleydale Lambs Locks / Fleece. Ideal for hand-spinning, felting, needle felting, dolls hair, mermaids tails and many special craft projects. This is very clean, personally hand sorted from raw fleece. You may find the odd bit of vegetable matter/straw but this will be minimal as I make every effort to remove it for you. We are a working farm, we keep rare breed Wensleydales and Bluefaced Leicesters, black and white, for wool exclusively. Also, please remember that your fleece is raw, meaning unwashed, and this process is now up to you. There are several ways to wash your fleece, but if you are unsure then feel free to email me. Most of my fleece is sent to Yorkshire for spinning into balls of wool and you can see my wool on and various other sites. But don’t worry too much – I currently own nearly 500 sheep!
