Strong magnet and easy to install.
I am using one of these as a catch to hold a sliding closet door in place. It is a large 85" tall x 48" wide pine door so it is much larger and heavier than a small cabinet door.It is a slider and it has a tendency to roll on it's own due to a slope on the track. This is quite a strong setup and keeps the 80lb door in place. It is easy to move, but the connection is quite strong.Very happy with the install. The sticky double sided tape is a nice touch to get it all lined up before drilling for the screws. The screws are very small but are still a PH2 phillips head which is nice.Great deal on a simple product. One of these at the big box hardware stores is more than this 4 pack. Easy buy!

No more janky cabinets!๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Been frustrated for years now with a few of my kitchen cabinets that wouldnโt close flush. These magnets were so easy to install - less than 5 minutes - (I used the stick on method) and worked like a charm. The magnets are very strong and the sound of them clicking together is music to my ears. No more janky cabinets!Amazing how fixing something so minor can remove such stress and aggravation. Life is short and Iโm on a perimeno mission to remove as many aggravations from my life as possible.๐๐ Love it when I can find products that are well designed AND affordable! Highly recommend to anyone whoโs been suffering from janky cabinets that wonโt stay shut and are slowly sucking the joy out of their life.๐๐ผ

Good product; see below for instructions to perfectly align for screw mount
I bought these magnet closures for a kitchen cupboard that will not stay shut. I just finished installing it, and it seems to be exactly what I need. The screws are high enough quality that I was able to drive them into oak with a screwdriver, and that is with arthritic hands. I'm surprised at how strong the magnets are. They're a little too strong and made the cupboard door hard to open (the door does not have a knob), but I worked around that as described below. Some people have complained that the magnets are hard to align when you want to mount them with screws instead of the included adhesive strips. There is a super easy way to perfectly align them when you want to use the screws. See below for instructions.Installation for screw mount: You will use the adhesive strips to help with alignment and then use the screws. First, note that the two metal parts (Iโll call them the magnet and the plate) are different sizes, and the adhesive strips are different sizes. The magnet is bigger; you will use the bigger adhesive strip on the magnet and the smaller adhesive strip on the plate. This assumes you are installing the magnet on a cupboard door, but you can install it wherever you need it.Put the magnet and the plate together, taking care that the beveled sides of the holes are facing inward (the back sides of the holes are flat). Adjust the position of plate on the magnet until the plate is centered on the magnet. The holes will not align. Leaving the red backing paper in place, stick the large adhesive strip to back of the magnet. Leaving the red backing paper in place, stick the small adhesive strip to the back of the plate.Make sure you know where you want the magnet to go (either measure and mark with a pencil or give it a good eyeball if precision doesn't matter). The magnet side should go on the frame of the cupboard, not on the cupboard door. Peel the red liner paper off the adhesive strip thatโs stuck to the magnet. Stick the magnet to the frame of the cupboard. Peel the red liner paper off the adhesive strip thatโs stuck to the plate (it is now facing you). Close the cupboard door and press firmly for a couple of minutes. Keep the door closed for 12 hours.Open the door. Both the magnet and the plate should stay attached to the frame of the cupboard and the cupboard door. Now it's time to insert the screws. Start the screw hole with a small nail and hammer, then drive the screw in with a screwdriver (a drill should not be needed). If the magnet has too strong of a grip, do this: (1) stick another small adhesive strip from the package (my package included extras) onto the plate and do not peel off the red backing paper, or (2) leave one of the screws on the door slightly out (that is, do not drive it in all the way) so it will create a small distance between the magnet and the plate, or (3) do both. I did both because the magnet is way stronger than I need it to be.I'm giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 because I think instructions should have been included. It took me a while to figure this out since I'm not normally a fixer-upper kind of person.

Excellent, a little cheap thing that is well made and actually works as described
Awesome little magnets. I tend to have bad luck with little hardware things but these met the marketing claims perfectly.I put a 18x18x38" 3/4" pine blanket box on my wall as a kitchen cabinet and needed to keep the door shut. the lid (now door) fits over a small protruding wooden edge that aligns the lid/door when closed as well as providing a seal for insects that like bedding. It liked to pop open a little bit thanks to the tension of that sealing strip so i wanted magnets. Just one of these 30lb magnets does the trick, takes just enough force to open that slight settling of hinges later on shouldn't mess the system up. Installed an old 60s kitchenaid drawer pull and made a shelf out of a nice slab of 3/4" solid mahogany salvaged from a six dollar drexel side table, paired it with some motion sensing little lights and voila! The magnet and lights really make it nice to use.If you predrill for the little screws in your application and haven't done such work before it's a good idea to indent the center of the intended hole location first, as with these tiny hardware sizes a bit that walks a millimeter off center is going to push these 3/4" wide magnets right off the edge of 3/4" material. One note: the adhesive strips do not bond that well to shellac. I wouldn't expect them to but they don't. if you're wondering. I would install them even if you use the screws like I did as they provide a marginal bit of damping when the door is slammed shut and the adhesive should help prevent the screws from losing grip in stuff like particle board. Also a suggestion to the company: I wasn't sure which magnet strength I needed and would have bought a more expensive $11-13 kit from you with four of the 30lb and two of the heavier duty magnets. I don't know your market like you do but I suspect I'm not the only one who would shell out a few extra bucks for a combo kit. Thanks for the good magnets!

Good, use the screws
These are great, although don't expect the adhesive alone to hold them on for very long. Great way to hold them in place to then use screws to hold them in place.
User
Works but adhesive is very weak
Very strong magnet. The adhesive does not hold though. Since I canโt use the screws due to being a renter I was disappointed. I had to go buy superglue and am hoping that will work.

Quick solution for cabinets doors
Using to keep cabinets and things closed that are not sealing well after many years. Holds until slight pull and then the cabinet opens. Super simple solution that looks as if there is no issue.
