Love its fat body
Love this pencil. The fat body keeps your hands from getting tired. I bought one more in case I lose one.

One of my favorite pencils
This pencil has been a life saver for me over the years. I draw and write constantly, almost every day. But I have an extreme anxiety problem leading to an over gripping issue that caused carpal tunnel and finger issues. Before I had carpal tunnel surgery using these pencils helped keep me from pain and losing feeling as often. I still use them because they help me from over gripping (which was causing issues in my fingers due to pressure and causing my fingers to lock into odd positions) and are just comfortable. They're more expensive sometimes and I have to order them online but they're worth it. The fact that they offer it in 0.5 is a big time bonus for me, as that is my preferred lead size. OH! And one of my favorite features is the long twist eraser that comes right out of the pencil. You can buy refills easily again online. I am ALWAYS willing to spend the couple extra bucks or so for one of these pencils. Sakura is part of one of my favorite art supply companies ever. I lucked out this time, after waiting and shuffling my cart a million times, running across it at a really good price. I never regret these pencils. -- only thing I get annoyed by is the long/ thick/ nondetachable pocket clip. You can detach it but it takes the entire top of the pencil with and it just looks so odd. haha.

Perfect for writing for long periods
I wasn't sure what to expect with this pencil. I love to write and am always on the hunt for the perfect writing utensil. When I picked this up (as an Add-On item I may add), I wasn't expecting much of anything. However, I was totally wrong. This pencil, while incredibly comfortable in the hand, is also a breeze to write with. The .05 sized led is thin on paper, making it much better to go with my usual cursive writing. The grip is slightly triangular and the eraser extends by twisting it up, great for long writing sessions. My only issue is the lack of real colors. I, obviously, have the clear/white one (I have a love of clear writing utensils and office supplies). The only other colors are blue and smokey gray/black. Think of making more colors Sumo Grip!!!

Comfortable fit. Less lead breaking and reliable
This is my go to pencil for drawing and writing. The thicker lead doesn't break nearly as much as .5 . The handle is very comfortable for long use. The mechanics don't feel cheap. I lose them before I ever broke one

An impulse purchase which was good!
I am a student of manga drawing. A student as in the case of trying to learn it on my own. I am always looking at drawing materials and on impulse purchased this mechanical pencil. This is a nice pencil. Though I would wonder if it's better suited for writing then drawing. I like it for minor sketching and doodling. I am not skilled enough to declare it good for serious drawing. In the past I was kind of a hard holder of writing tools. To the point you would find a dent in my middle finger. I changed to mechanical pencils like this one and started using Sakura pens and in time found that dent disappeared. It's not cheap and yet I found it's worth the extra cost. I have dropped it a couple times and it still works. I have had a couple theme pencils and they broke when I dropped them. I am happy with this purchase.

My All Time Favorite Pencil
This is the pencil I reach for when I want to write or sketch. The thick gummy grip is comfortable to handle for long periods - perfect for note taking during long lectures. The body is a lot thicker than most mechanical pencil The retractable eraser is convenient and cleans lines about as well as Pentel Hi-polymer Block Eraser, Large, 3 Pack, White (ZEH10BP3-K6) . The one issue that I have experienced is with lead jamming - but this could also be due to normal long-term (+1 year of heavy use) wear n' tear or using cheap lead. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Regardless, these are always annoying to fix + I usually just use it an excuse to buy a new, nicer-looking crystal-clear one. ๐๐

Best Mechanical Pencil You Can Buy
I looove this Mechanical Pencil. I originally picked this up at my local art shop when I was looking for lead for a drafting class. First things first it is very light. I bought is as a replacement for the ergonomic "Ph.D" by Sanford. The Ph.D weighs about 4 times as much as the Sumo. Writing with the PH.D is VERY tiring and causes finger and wrist strain after a couple of hours of writing Im an Engineering student that has to do A LOT of equation solving by hand and this pencil has gotten me through so much. I love the twist eraser that comes with is as the size since you can use the common Sanford erasor (which is not very good but accessible) . Also the lead is awesome, its HB but it seems to be darker and easier to erase than other HBs. I have nothing but good things to say other than I wish I could find this in other department stores rather than just at my local art store and Amazon.
