My daughter’s rain gutters feed into an underground 4 inch drain pipe that empties into a gully. Old cover disappeared and this new one fits tight in the 4 inch pipe. Product is well made and will keep any little creatures from making its home in water runoff pipe.

Fits loosely in a 4" PVC pipe. This is great for downspout drains that come up flat in your yard as it will allow the grate to pop up when it gets plugged with leaf debris. For horizontal drain pipes, you may need to add tape or glue or something. Otherwise, it will get pushed out easily and may wash down stream. In my case, I drilled a hold on the PVC so I could add a zip tie to secure the grate. This will keep critters out, but still allow it to get pushed out at the bottom if/when it gets plugged with debris. Easily removable if I need to manually clean it out, but it won't float away in a big downpour.

Easy to use and great value for money!

Seems funny to be reviewing something like this, but honestly I felt compelled to. This was the cheapest 4" duct cover that I could find anywhere online. I ordered it without really checking the dimensions first, it was only a couple bucks after all. When it arrived, I realized it was thicker and more sturdy than I anticipated. The edges and cutouts look great, no loose or hanging material from the casting process. The stepped sides on the part fit my project perfectly, and far better than I anticipated! I came back to order a couple more and wanted to leave a review, because I'm impressed with the item! It fits inside 4" dryer ducting perfectly, didn't even need a hose clamp or zip tie!

Excellent replacement for the one I hit with the mower!

fit perfect on a 4 inch corrugated pipe. does the job. i would tape it or use a zip tie to secure it a bit more but overall good product.
