If you have the once ubiquitous Gerber Safe Temp II shower cartridge this is the perfect replacement cartridge. Clean up any hard water residue inside the housing with some emery cloth or similarly abrasive material. Then apply a bit of plumbers grease, and this will operate smoothly and last for years. Save money by doing it yourself.

Fairly easy to install. Nice smooth movement when turning the water off and on and setting temps for showers. The leaky cartridges I replaced were hard to turn and didn't stop at the off position because a tab inside was broken. I wish I had replaced them with this item sooner.

Arrived 1 week sooner than the ship date, so that was nice. Works just fine in existing fixture, no issues. I'd recommend upgrading to plumbing with better inserts.

Great price. Replaced a dripping 14 yo system, which is now like new. Smooth and precise control. I do contrast showers. I get in the shower and turn the water on getting a blast of cold until it warms up. The transition from cold to hot is MUCH smoother and linear than before, plus no dripping after it's all over. Initially I thought I would need to purchase a universal handle, but while replacing I discovered an adapter on the old valve that I moved to the new one saving $15.

Stopped the leak immediately. Easy install!

Outdated part, but I had no choice because we needed shower back. I had to modify and split old part and put new with old to get it to work. Modification works.

Very fast shipping. Received the package in the same day it was ordered. Though there was no instalation manual that came with the part, installation was a breeze. There's only one way the parts can be fitted. I very lightly greased the gaskets and contact surfaces with clear silicone grease before inserting. They fit perfectly. The valve now runs like new. No leaks, no drips. No further adjustments were needed to obtain proper cold to hot range of temperatures.

Two piece cartridge. I used it on my Belanger shower one piece faucet, 20 years age approx. The thing is when you order this cartridge it comes with the secondary part that sits way in the back of the copper shower base. This is the part that became defective on my shower. There is a balancing pin that slides back and forth horizontally about 1/4" diameter, 3/4" long. It must move back and forth to allow both hot and cold water to flow as needed. My balance pin was corroded in place and despite repeat cleaning even with muriatic acid, it would not slide freely. I had little, almost no hot water. The new back part and the regular cartridge that this purchase comes with as a package made my shower work again like from the factory. Look at the Pat. number to match the cartridge.

I thought I was going to have to put in a new shower mixer until I found this.

I'm sure the product was fine. The only problem was there is one more additional piece that is required in order to be able to use this product. That piece was not provided and that was the piece that was gone on my Shower cartridge that I needed to make the shower functional again. I could not find this additional piece anywhere in order to make this work, so I had to return the cartridges I ordered.

Stopped the leaking on my bath shower faucet. Only needed the top part and not the adapter but it was inexpensive enough to not bother. I gave 4 start instead of 5 because it does seems to take some time before it completely stops the water. Might my installation / plumbing also not sure
