A lifetime of cooking, still making discoveries. My Facebook feed is full of really great chefs, and I noticed so many of them using these spatulas. I began to wonder why. I have a utensil jar full of spatulas already, but I ordered one of these. Wow, now I get it. These are so sturdy. It immediately feels like an extension of your hand. It holds up to heavy stirring and high heat. This is really a first class piece of kitchen equipment and a must have. Will outlast a dozen of the cheap ones and performs so much better.

I love the Rubbermaid Commercial Silicone Spatulas. I first bought the 16.5 inch size several years ago, as they are perfect to use with my large stand mixer and also when mixing large batches of things. I was needing some shorter spatulas to replace some old ones that I have had for years so decided to splurge a bit and picked up 2 of the 9.5 inch spatulas when they were on sale during Prime Day. I am so happy I did as I have used the several times already and found them to be the perfect fit for when i just need a small spatula. The quality if really fantastic, they are sturdy, have a notch to use to rest on the edge of pots or bowls with, and are easy to clean, even not staining with some foods which would heavily stain other spatulas.

I saw this on ATK-months ago and decided to order. I have NOT been disappointed with this purchase. It's easy to use, hugs the bowls, the quality is great and the size is comfortable for my hand. After the first few uses, I threw away 3 of my old spatulas, they had cracked and had stains. I even ordered one for my daughter.

This feel sturdy but still not as sturdy as the rubbermaid I used to know.

I've seen this item being used on multiple cooking shows, so I figured I'd buy one. This is a fabulous addition to my utility container. It is very sturdy and is very easy to clean. I'm happy I bought this Rubbermaid spatula.

I've used Le Creuset spatulas for years, but after a few of mine succumbed to various disasters I decided to follow Cook's Illustrated's recommendation and try out the Rubbermaid spatulas. This size is equivalent to the Le Creuset medium size and is great for everyday use. It's the size I reach for 9 times out of 10, only occasionally do I need the larger size (Le Creuset Super or Rubbermaid 13 1/2). These are stiffer than the Le Creuset spatulas. I haven't decided yet if that's good or bad, I suppose it is both. I've had times where it was good and times where it wasn't. The plastic handle isn't as pretty as the Le Creuset, but it is a heck of a lot more practical. It won't split or warp or break like my Le Creusets have done. And it is sealed to the blade, so no need to pull them apart for cleaning and drying like the Le Creusets. As Cooks Illustrated pointed out, the flatter blade on the Rubbermaids is nice, makes it easier to clean it off on the edge of a bowl. The Le Creusets have a more pronounced bump along the center of the blade that leads to a bunch of extra swiping to get most of the food off the blade. All in all a great spatula and in a drawer with one of these and three or four Le Creusets I'll reach for this one every time.

Pro: It's nice and firm, seems bery sturdy. Cons: It does tend to catch a mild odor if you use it with strong spices. I suggest keeping the baking and cooking spatulas separate.
