MATI Plant-Powered Sparkling Organic Energy Drink, Blueberry Pomegranate, 90 Calorie, 12 Fl Oz, Pack of 12

MATI is the best energy drink I've ever had so far. I work a lot of hours on third shift and was struggling with staying awake and focused at the job. When I'm desperate I drink coffee but I don't like the taste of coffee and always added a lot of hot chocolate mix to make it some what palatable. Caffeinated soda had to much sugar and didn't last through the night. Most other energy drinks I've looked at had scary and unhealthy ingredient lists.Mati doesn't have taurine in it which some researchers have suggested contributes to the crash associated with energy drinks due to the sedative effect it has on the brain. Taurine may be something the body needs but I prefer to get it naturally and not in my energy drink.Mati doesn't have Citric Acid listed on its ingredient list and its the only energy drink I've found that doesn't. Citric Acid might not be harmful by itself and yes I know it exists NATURALLY in fruits like the ones used in Mati but Citric Acid can bind with metals and it can go past the blood brain barrier.I work in a metal factory so having drink that doesn't have ARTIFICIAL Citric Acid added to it is a little comforting to my mind.The flavors I've tried are Cherry, Citrus and Peach Mango. These are not as sweet as other drinks that are filled with a lot of sugar, but there's too much sugar and artificial sweeteners in most foods and drinks these days and its effecting the taste buds. If your diet is low sugar these are great. If not you may need to acquire a taste for these but its worth it.I tried Cherry first and I didn't care for the taste as much at first but it was better than coffee and it kept me awake and focused better than any other drink I tried. After a while I discovered that I liked the Cherry flavored Mati better when its warm while I like Citrus and Peach Mango better cold.If you need your drink to taste sweeter, Citrus or Peach Mango might be better for you than Cherry.I personally like all three flavors and will be ordering more as I need them.Summary: Best Energy Drink Ever!!!This is the first review I've ever left on amazon. I love Mati. I have long been a huge fan and proponent of the Guayusa leaf/tea, and I was so delighted to discover this new way to get it. So far the flavors I have tried are good (they are right - not overly sweet), but it’s hard for me to get anything other than the cherry flavor, because with that little bit of lime juice, oh man... perfection.Guayusa is an amazing source for caffeine. I recently turned my partner onto it, and he used the same words to describe it as I do: it’s a magnificent energizer, with no jittery feeling (which he struggles with when drinking other caffeinated but drinks). There is this incredible clarity with it, as well - a sudden mental acuity that kind of reveals to you how fuzzy your mind was before (I like Yerba Mate, too, but it typically makes me feel fuzzy or even a little sleepy). On the mornings that I would drink Guayusa tea when I was teaching kindergarten, I felt like a much more focused, patient, receptive teacher.Obviously, I’m a big fan. I love what I’ve seen and learned about the Mati company so far, as well, and I love that they are just over in nearby North Carolina, too. I’ll be back, Mati. Just you wait.

If you are a big fan of the taste of your classic Monster/Red Bull/etc energy drinks you very likely won't like these... they're not nearly as sweet and have a very earthy taste... more of a strong tea with fruit juice than an energy drink. Some of the flavors are not very good in my opinion, some are okay, and since I like authentic cherry and lime flavors, the Cherry is really good. The energy boost isn't your typical rush, it's more subtle and less jittery to me, which is nice. Overall I'd recommend it if you want less sugar, more juice, and boost not a buzz. I'd get the 6 pack variety pack to try each flavor myself, but if you want to take a risk I think cherry is far and away the best of them.

I am writing a less than stellar review solely based on personal taste. It is a clean drink, but has tangy seltzer water type flavor. The energy kick is mild and love the low sugar levels, just couldn't get over the taste. Will try other flavors.

MATI Energy's Blueberry Pomegranate is my favorite flavor so far. I just ordered a 12-pack of Citrus and I cannot wait to try it out. I have never been a huge energy drink fan simply because I cannot pronounce half the the ingredients on their lists and because I never really felt much of a boost in energy after consuming them. MATI Energy's ingredients are super simple and I really can tell a difference after I drink one. I always eat some kind of food with MATI Energy before going to the gym and it makes a big difference. Keep in mind these drinks are not sugary and sweet like other energy drinks. They are flavored with fruit juices and are extremely refreshing. Don't expect the sweet taste of most other products out there on the market! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

These can be a bit tough to transition to drinking if you are accustomed to most soda/energy drinks. After drinking, you will realize how sweet most drinks are flavored. We enjoyed the citrus most, followed by tropical, and finally the cherry.

This is a great change from Monster, Red Bull, etc in terms of sugar and sodium, though the old formula had a lot less sugar than the current one. They do offer a sugar free line of drinks, however. I'm a big fan of guayusa tea, so I really enjoy these drinks.

Hated the taste, experienced no change in energy, and for a 12 oz. can the cost was way too much.
