Basic but Great
This is a basic wall clock that is suitable for a classroom, office, workshop, or other similar setting. The clock comes well packaged by the manufacturer inside another well packed shipping box by Amazon. The clock is made mostly of plastic and very lightweight. The large face, numerals, and hands are easily read from 30 to 40 feet away. You will need one small screw to hang the clock and one AA battery to energize it. This is the second unit I have purchased. The first unit was purchased over a year ago, has kept good time, and has used one battery.

Excellent Analog clock
This is an excellent clock. The 14" design and the clear contrast for the hour/minute marks make this an easy read clock. And the price could not be more generous for the presentation of this clock. I bought this clock because I wanted a nice radian clock for my son's birthday. I couldn't find a decent clock with nice enough graphics showing radian angles and the unit circle, so I made my own clock face. I wanted a quality clock movement and excellent hands with a second hand. This clock fit the bill. It was simple to modify with my radian unit clock face. My son loves his gift. The tick sound is quieter than some clocks, but I can still hear it in a quiet room. Here is my video on how to make a radian unit circle clock using this excellent clock by Charles Leonard: Search youtube for this text douglas howey it's trig time - a unit circle clock

After initial training, a good clock!
This is a silent clock-you can't hear any ticking. When I installed the first battery in this clock a few weeks ago, it had forgotten how to keep time. It ran fast at a rate that would be a 10-minute gain per day. I even clicked on "Return" to print the forms for returning it. That same evening I set it again at 10PM. When I awoke the next morning, I snuck up on it, keeping out of sight until the last second, because sometimes clocks seem to know things. The time was correct after over 9 hours! Iput the return form on a table nearby, just as a reminder for the clock. It's been keeping good time (according to my atomic clock) ever since. Now and again I rustle the return form, just to let the clock know its options. Getting close to 30 days now, so I guess its a keeper!

Perfect clock for the fire station.
I was looking for a large, easy to read, classic office clock for our fire station training room and was drawn to the clean lines, good reviews and reasonable cost. I was a bit put off by the comments about the loud movement, but gave it a go anyways...how loud could it be? Well, if I hold it up to my ear, I can hear it tick. I suppose if I didn't have an aquarium, the wind wasn't blowing and the kids were asleep I could hear it at home too. In my opinion, you would have to have a very quite environment for the sound of the clock to bother you. Oh, by the way, it is functional and looks even better on the wall. Very glad I purchased this clock.

Trash!
Plastic and very cheaply made. First arrived cracked, replacement with slight chip and scratch visible from certain angles. This was on sale for $17.33 from $31.70 w/ 20% off... total w/tax $15.00. I thought I'd stumbled on a good deal, but that's maybe what it’s actually worth, maybe! Contemplating another return, and refund, but like the larger diameter than most. Additionally, some reviews say this clock is silent, that's a complete joke! Watch the video and tell me if you consider it quiet? This is in my workout room adjacent to bedroom and I can still here it in the middle of the night. 3 stars is probably a gift!…update, with the scratch 0 STARS!

Excellent "utility-look" clock -- mine keeps perfect time
Charles Leonard Inc. Wall Clock Pros: - black second and hour hand, red second hand are highly visible. If you have good vision, you'll be able to read this clock from well over 100' away. - tested mine for accuracy for 1 week against an atomic clock, and it neither gained nor lost [even] one second. - while earlier versions of this clock had a domed plastic cover, this one is flat, which reduces glare Cons: - if you're looking for an elegant clock, this isn't it. This one looks belongs in the work-place, rec-room, or garage - not (for example) a dining room. Other: - 14" diameter; 7/8" thick, has standoffs on the back that keep it about 1" from the wall. - extremely light weight. The UPS box felt like it was empty. - it doesn't look expensive, and since it isn't, that shouldn't be a surprise Summary: If you're OK with its utilitarian look, and the rather large diameter (14"), this is a good choice.

Finally, a clock I can see...
I will keep this short and simple... I bought this as a replacement for a 9 inch BR wall clock..I finally have a clock that is big enough and white enough to see in low light. You haven't lived till you don't have to strain your eyes to see a clock face...bought this based on the reviews so all I can say is thanks guys...BTW, I held the clock up to me ear and could not hear it...also, does not look industrial at all...fits the scheme of my new black x box slim.. update....after owning for a month the second hand is becoming a little noisy. I have an air purifier running so it is really not noticeable, but when it is off, you can hear it in a 12 x 12 room..

A clock should last decades, not four years.
This video is with a fresh battery. Motor is failing to be able to move the second and minute upwards at the same time. Four years is not very long for a $30+ clock - we're talking not even a handful of battery changes and I have to buy another one.
