⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – The Best Captain Rex Yet – A Must-Have for Black Series Collectors
🎯 Overall Impression This is easily one of the best Black Series figures Hasbro has released to date. Captain Rex comes highly detailed, well-articulated, and visually striking — a must-have for any serious Star Wars collector, especially fans of The Clone Wars or The Mandalorian tie-ins. 🖌️ Sculpt & Detail Paint applications are crisp, especially on the helmet and armor. Articulation is smooth and dynamic, perfect for action poses or display stances. Helmet sculpt is excellent, and he looks incredible posed solo or among Ahsoka’s Clone Troopers. ⚠️ Minor Scale Quirks Rex’s body build feels slightly oversized next to figures like Clone Wars General Kenobi. The hair color under the helmet is a bit too bright, leaning toward a yellow tone that feels unnatural. That said, most collectors will display him helmeted, and he absolutely shines that way. ✅ Final Thoughts Despite a couple of scale and paint nitpicks, this is top-tier Black Series work from Hasbro. It’s the definitive Captain Rex figure for 2025 and a standout addition to any Star Wars collection.

Great action figure and collectors item for any fan
Took a little while to get the joints to bend smoothly, but once they are broken in the articulation is top notch. The detail is amazing.

Looks great. The armor is super clean and the cloth kama flows nice. The rangefinder moves and the helmet comes off easily but fits snug. Pretty poseable as well. Good figure.

Best Captain Ever!
I was on the Rishi moon for my first assignment when we were attacked and only a few of us were able to escape. Luckily, Rex here shows up and one shots this giant space bug that was about to eat us! Soon after we were able to take back control of our base, fought even more clankers, and then we had to blow up the base to stop the all clear signal to let the Republic know what was happening. Anyways, after all that Rex invited me and my friend to join the 501st!!

The 2025 Clone Captain Rex is another impressive Black Series release, improving heavily on the previous figure by way of articulation, overall design, upgrading soft goods to PVC without sacrificing movement, and by other simple adjustments like finally giving Rex two trigger hands to wield both is blasters. It also finally debuts Phase I Rex into the Black Series, and while this is badged as an Ahsoka release, the figure will fit perfectly well into a Clone Wars setting alongside the other Phase I Clones and specifically the recent Clone 1 501st release. Having seen the improvements implemented on this figure, there is an opportunity here also to go back and re-do Phase II Rex at some stage with the same articulation but with the battleworn decor and welded armour panels that works so well on the original release.
